I'm still shorter than everybdy else, and I live in Asia for crying out loud. I don't think that that growth spurt would ever come >: you should be happy your small. I'm always 2nd biggest in everything, and its getting f****** annoying when my friend teases me about everything and all. You should be happy.

A very volatile customer and the second volatile customer I've dealt with working here....it all started when this lady called the store in a panic, asking if we had seen a gold wallet because apparantly it was accidently donated to the store yesturday. After trying to find it or at least locate it, I told her that we couldn't find it but that didn't mean that it wasn't here, just that we couldn't find it. She asked if it would be possible for her to come down and look, I didn't see anything wrong with that so I said it was fine...then she calls back a little later and says that her husband will come instead after he gets off from work...once again, I saw nothing wrong with that. Well, considering that one of the possible locations for the wallet was in back production and due to fear of liabilities, one of my fellow employees sent a text to my manager about it, she said that we could only take down contact information and nothing more...now, it would have been nice if I had known this BEFORE what I did earlier. Around that afternoon, husband shows up, we trying searching in the donation room but when he requests to see the back, and well, we tell him what our manager told us, he wasn't very happy! Our ADC guy then decides to go ahead but that he wouldn't let the customer look through the stuff, just kind of point out the bags, still didn't find no wallet but that didn't seem to please the damn man. He demanded to see our manager after trying to explain that since we couldn't find it, we needed contact information so that way we could have time to find it and get back to them on it, the man refused to leave and made it clear that he wanted the wallet there and apparantly to him, neither one of us was working and there was no excuse for why we couldn't find the wallet. Of course, our manager is never there so I called her and asked her to talk to him....it got worse because it didn't take long for the guy to piss her off and the two got into an arguement, along with him criticizing the store and us as her employees as well! He was making it clear that he wasn't leaving at all until that wallet was in his hands. Our manager then decides that she's coming to run the guy off which would take a fiftheen minute drive and during that time, the guy then talks to his wife on his phone, once again going on about how we weren't doing anything and that there was no excuse for us not to find that wallet. Then he ends up calling the police on us! The two officers talked to both the customer and my fellow employee each alone then my manager shows, by this time, I had no idea how insane things got and just told her of what I knew because trying to explain on the phone to her didn't turn out so pleasant...eventually, the police calmed the guy down and got him to leave while explaining to him that all we could do was take down his contact information and give us time to find the wallet. My manager apparantly was so pissed on how rude the guy got on her that she wasn't mad at us but now I'm scared, it was like that one incident with that sexist customer I dealt with a year ago all over again, I was freaking out that I was afraid to really do anything out of fear that this guy would try to harm me in some way! I really hope that this guy doesn't come back if somehow we find his wife's stupid wallet!

Wow, sounds intense! They funny thing is, her wallet probably isn't even there. Hope she's looking in more than one place than jumping the gun and throwing it all on you guys. And he had no right treating you like that! It wasn't your fault they lost something. Ugh, hope everything resolves itself. I know how it is, being afraid of customers sometimes, and I don't even have to face mine! My problem is that people don't take your feelings into consideration when it's over the phone and are more likely to say nasty things to you because they always have the option of hanging up. Just last week a girl who had been working there for years got called a "F**king b***h" by some lady who hung up on her right after. She started crying because it upset her so much. The same lady called several of our other CS agents in the following days and did the same thing. People are just too rude.

The same lady called several of our other CS agents in the following days and did the same thing. People are just too rude. Yeah...you see, the possibility of her wallet not being there at all is the one thing I'm really afraid of because if this woman doesn't find it just in case it happens to not have been donated but lost in a store or something then her husband may come back and considering that he scared the sh*t out of me when he was there the first time, I really don't want to ever see him again! Considering that this is the second time I've dealt with a male customer like this, I'm more afraid of what he will do more than what he won't! There are guys out there who won't think twice of harming a girl because it's like they say, chiverly is dead. Her main concern about her wallet is her credit cards and her drivers license but so far, other customers who had talked with me about it say that they don't understand why she just doesn't cancel her cards just to play it safe! Along with that, I'm also under the impression that the husband thinks that one of us found the wallet and chose to keep it which was the reason why during his outburst that we couldn't find it despite his demands or at least that's my impression that I'm thinking. To be honest, I would rather deal with customers on the phone than in person because over the phone, they can't do anything crazy to you because it's over the phone, in person, hell, you never know what to expect with some people.

Sounds pretty nuts Mistica! Hopefully it will be okay.
Most I remember from my old job with regards patrons was someone going apesh*t over the prices in our tearoom really. Mostly I was pretty lucky bar the odd kid who wanted to play with the guns in the gun rooms or people touching things which shouldn't be touched. (There was no ammo in the guns but... they were old and not meant to be touched). Odd rude person but not really anyone standing out that much.
Sometimes customers can have a bad attitude to people servicing them. I mean yeah, they're serving you and have to be polite etc regardless of how THEY feel. But that shouldn't mean those patrons should be able to be completely unreasonable themselves.

What suckeths...the fact that I feel odd today...very odd....have no clue as to why or what but I'm hoping that this odd feeling today will seriously wear off because feeling so odd and not being sure as to why is just getting depressing.

Some people on deviantart are just plain jacka$$e$! There was this guy who took a picture of a dog and in his description he stated that this dog should not even exist! I told him that everyone is entitled to life, like the dog is entitled to it, and that it's not the dog's fault that it was born. All he tells me is that he's sorry for the fact that I feel that way and that he honestly believes that a dog should only be bred if it's a working dog only! Wow, clearly this is one f*cking a$$hole who clearly needs a good kick in the balls! Maybe if he's lucky, something will happen to him to keep him from having kids since it seems to me that since he's not a "working" type human that his bloodline shouldn't continue either! F*cking A$$ hole!

Dreamworks :<
So I draw my dragon for the How To Create Your Own Dragon Contest. Get my order for ready to mail and everything. Then I decided to read the fine print. The age max is 12!? WTF! Way to oust your many adult fans, Dreamworks. I'm not going to be modest, I think my dragon idea was brilliant. I'm sending it in anyways, I'm just a little ticked because the majority of HTTYD fans I've seen are teens. Cutting them out of a contest like this for toddler scribbles (the starting age is 4, yes) is ridiculous.
Maybe I'm still a bit sensitive about being an adult :/

An hour ago, I officially got my worst grade in history, and in college, of all times: a 29%! And the fact that some b**** for a classmate wouldn't stop laughing at me certainly didn't help.

Aw Sg, don't let some idiot get you down or a bad grade- have you talked to your teacher about it? About what went wrong? If you know what happened- it means things might go better the next time if you work to prevent yourself making the same mistakes. In college/university teachers don't automatically tell you what's wrong or what to do in my experience, you have to ask them directly.
And ignore the b*****. Their opinion is of no value.
I'm kind of unsure about how it works in the US- but don't you have something called extra credit too?
I'd discuss options with your teacher.

As for myself, I'm getting a little worried about what to do for my Master's project, and I'm in a slightly bad mood right now because I read through a little of 'Fundies say the Darnest Things'. I don't know why I go there sometimes, I just get mad and upset that such people even exist.
Yet it keeps dragging me back for some reason... o_0

Got an F- three of 'em, and I'm not surprised. They're in math, too, and it makes me less surprised.

That sucks but this is your first time in college so you shouldn't be so hard on yourself about it, is this the first test in your class because if so, I'm sure that it won't kill your grade entirely especially depending on how your teacher grades and how you earn points in the class but if your teacher is the kind to offer extra credit then it wouldn't hurt looking into that. I know that some teachers just don't do that but some do. All you can do is just study harder next time. I'm guessing that b**** means b*tch, right? Damn, normally you aren't the type to cuss on this board...in fact, mostly that tends to be me using the f-bomb but what is her deal, does she not like you or just someone being an a$$ hole! I don't exactly have that problem cause I'm considered an outsider by all of my peers and also the fact that nobody really talks to me anyway but back to this chick, what's her problem?

Yeah, don't let that girl get to you. Especially considering every girl I knew like that from college failed or eventually ended up dropping out. She was probably just feeling bad about her own grade and wanting to take it out on someone.
Like mentalguru said, ask the professor about extra credit, but I'd only advise that depending on your professor's attitude. Some college profs have such a stick up their you-know-what and can be complete pricks to struggling freshmen.

As for the actual incident, I honestly don't know what her problem is, especially since, despite Bampot's thoughts, she got something in the '70s. Worst part was a quick review solved most of my problems. I appreciate the advice you all are giving about meeting with my professor, though.

Well, after some internet snooping, I was able to find the "horrible" picture that had everyone on DA on edge today....and one thought crosses my mind....are you sh*tting me?! It doesn't even look like it's dead! And to think that a user on DA got harrassed for this?! Just goes to show that the world is f*cked up sometimes along with humanity...
