Odd... now I'm getting images of Randall dressed up like Mr. Centipede XD
Never seen Chaplin in action, but I saw 'Babes in Toyland' with his spiritual descents, Laurel and Hardy, as the stars. They were very funny! That monkey-mouse thing on the other hand... ugh, creepy. As for Jack Skellington cameos- he was in Beetlejuice. If you look closely when BJ's doing the circus thing, on toping his head is Jack's skull.

Another possible reason for why Jack makes a cameo in James in the Giant Peach could possibly have to do with the director of the film, Henry Selick. Many people don't know this but Selick originally directed TNBC since Burton couldn't do so at the time for he was directing two other movies.
As far as cameos, Jack also makes one in Beetlejuice, he is on top of the carousel form that BJ takes at the end of the film. I have read possible internet rumors about Jack making cameos in Corpse Bride or even Burton's stop motion short Vincent but I personally haven't seen him the many times I have watched both, although he could be in there even if I haven't seen or noticed him.

Oops, sorry, didn't realize that someone pointed out the Beetlejuice cameo already.
