I think Toy Story will always be my favourite simply for the memory of being a little ten year old kid, sitting there and being blown away by this new form of animation. I also really loved Woody and Buzz's characters and always remember my brother being gutted when my dad told him he couldn't have a Buzz toy as they had all sold out My bro's face fell like a great avalanche, until my dad produced the space toy from behind his back. yeah, my dad's an evil so and so xxx

I know what you mean by Toy Story- it's the one that I think of first whenever someone mentions Pixar. ;D

MI is deffinately mine. Such an enchanting story, and such great characters.
I know what you mean, guys! Toy Story really seems to capture the essence of Pixar. I remember when I was about six years old going to the ENORMOUS famous players at West Edmonton Mall *been there, right Beboots?* and looking up in awe of all the characters who - right below their name - bore the Pixar signature.

There really was something about Toy Story, and the great thing is, although Pixar are now massive compared to how they started out, they haven't got richardy and are still creating brilliant films. ;D

The Incredibles. After seeing what a complete and total disappointment Shark Tale was, it was the ULTIMATE antidote. I left the theater in a giddy, happy little state of euphoria.

I actually didn't think Shark Tale was that bad at first, but looking back on it - ew. I agree, you didn't leave the theatre with an excited feeling. I loved certain aspects of it, the Rastifarian jellyfish in particular, but Angelina using her "bedroom voice" was just too much. It's a kids movie! There was far too much celebrity - ism. I would have kept: DeNero, Scorsesse, Zelwegger, Marley and Smith. It had too much of an urban - ghetto underline too it. That's not refreshing. That adds to the charm of Pixar I think, they can pull off incredible movies without the aid of MASSIVE celebrities.
By the By, anybody see Madagasgar? EXCELLENTE!!!!

I haven't seen Madagascar, but according to reviews, it's pretty bad. Can't say for myself, though- I might see it later this week. ;D

I haven't seen Madagascar, but according to reviews, it's pretty bad. Can't say for myself, though- I might see it later this week. ;D I actually thought that Madagascar was pretty good. =D The animation was very unique, somehow looking borderline realistic while maintaining its cartoonish qualities, the voice acting was brilliant... the only problem was that it felt incomplete. I felt like the two characters, Marty and Alex, got more screentime than their equally interesting co-stars. ~Keaton the Black Jackal

Hmm, yeah, I've got a few friends who have watched it and they say it started out great, but sort of lost its steam towards the end. ;D

The Incredibles. After seeing what a complete and total disappointment Shark Tale was, it was the ULTIMATE antidote. I left the theater in a giddy, happy little state of euphoria. ~Keaton the Black Jackal Shark Tale wasn't too bad (but then again, I have this big thing for sharks period). But I think they could have done better on it. The Incredibles, however, was the best movie that year, I'd say. Both the story and the animation was just top-notch stuff. I thoroughly loved it. But it's really hard choosing just one favorite Pixar movie, because I love The Incredibles, Monsters Inc, and Toy Story equally as much. As for the topic of Madagascar, I thought it was a cute movie. Gotta love the animation on it and the characters were neat. I never thought I'd see a giraffe as a main character, so that was certainly an interesting leap. I liked the lemur Julian for some reason also. LOL. I guess he was just so funny. I especially cracked up at the "National Geographic" music playing in the background during the chase scene. I dunno, I guess that's just me. I thought it was pretty darn comical. But, like you said, the story as a whole seemed pretty incomplete. I think they could have tied it together better. Not one of my favorites, exactly, but it's a good movie nonetheless.

I think that MI has the best characters of all the Pixar films (I've gotta say that, just for the Randall factor), and possibly the most creative of the worlds so far for the films (They had to think up the power systems, door stuff, etc. for the movie - very creative). All Pixar films are automatically awesome, just because they were made by Pixar. However, I quite liked how they actually created a whole new plotline for Toy Story 2, and didn't just take the "lets-just-rehash-the-plot-of-the-first-movie" short-cut. Oh, and the Incredibles was awesome. ^_^ What's you guy's favorite short film by Pixar? My favorites are the bird one (you know, with that blue crane thing and all the tiny grey birds on the telephone wire?), and the old man playing chess with himself. I remember when I was about six years old going to the ENORMOUS famous players at West Edmonton Mall *been there, right Beboots?* and looking up in awe of all the characters who - right below their name - bore the Pixar signature. Yup, been there - just last week, actually. Good ole West Ed. ^_^
