Circle 7, huh? Don't like the sound of that. Nah, it won't last, espically if Disney and Pixar renew their deal.

Not to go against Pixar, but the animation looks good..... But regardless, NO ONE can make a STORY within animation like Pixar can.
"That studio is never going to produce a single frame of finished animation. It's all just a set-up to get Pixar back to the negotiating table."
Seems this is good news. Maybe I was right about Disney handing over their ideas to Pixar huh?

But I sincerely doubt that the animation, story, music, or ANY aspect of 'Toy Story 3', if created by Circle 7, will be as good as any Pixar film.

I wish Disney would just leave it to the pros.

Well.... Hopefully they'll give Pixar want they want, in exchange for sequel promises.

As much as I hate the idea of Disney getting back with Pixar and trying to take the credit for their films, I would rather they did do so, so we would at least get some reasonable sequels.

True. Even though Pixar has some good ideas, it is not wise of Jobs to declare his company not to make sequels.

True. Even though Pixar has some good ideas, it is not wise of Jobs to declare his company not to make sequels. No kidding! The main purpose of any company is still to MAKE MONEY, and sequels to really successful movies, even crappy sequels, have proven to be a tried-and-true money making scheme. It's hard to imagine that anyone would turn down the chance to make sequels to movies as financially successful as "Monsters, Inc." and "The Incredibles", while a rival studio continues to rake in money with sequels to the film that beat "Monsters, Inc." for the Oscar! pitbulllady

Yeah, it would've made much more sense to even just not make the sequels, but not SAY that they're not gonna make the sequels, y'know? Anyway, I don't understand why Pixar aren't willing to make at least one sequel other than Toy Story 2- they could make it really good, as with Toy Story 2, and make money at the same time, without declaring themselves as just a sequel-making company. Most film companies make a few sequels from time to time anyway- it's really not unheard of.

Speaking of which. Did Monsters Inc. come close to winning any awards? If so, they could win them with an M.I. 2.
You know. I'm watching Scream 2 right now and the actors were having a really interesting discussion on sequels. (Heh...what kind of REAL class actually does a discuss like that?)
Taking a bit from that movie, a sequel that surpassed it's original: The Godfather part 2 ^_^
(Heh...funny....one of the main characters in Scream is actually called "Randy" ^_^)

I think Monster's Inc. was nominated for best animated film, but didn't win. I'm not sure about any other awards, though.

Well....Monsters Inc. 2, WITH a scene of emotion with Randall (which would provide perhaps the BEST emotion animation ever), could win that award.
Hey! Who did Steve and Randall lose to? I know they almost got an award they truely deserve but didn't get.

Umm...*scratches head* I think it was Shrek, actually, who won the Oscar that year...
