Alright! BOY was this a biggy! While CoMONdy is still on it's hiatus, last year we started a "It's a Wonderful Life" parody, ending when George (Randall) and Mary (Vanessa) had a moment together and their relationship started to blossom. And then...that was it. The hiatus was decided and the comic stopped. Last Halloween we managed to dig up an oldie and decided what-the-hey. But then felt...we should finish Wonderful Life. So November and December, work was done, and a shy two days before deadline we finished! 9 1/2 pages in all! Our longest comic bit to date! And now that it's finally finished, we aim to complete the story. However, it's bigger than we thought, so we're making it into three parts. For those new, look at "CoMONdy Christmas Special 2010" and continue on here.
More might be said, but to be honest, Christmas Eve, and we're exxxhaaauustttted.... Enjoy!

Director's Commentary: Here George is moving the Martini family into their new home, and we see a possible new cast member to the CoMONdy crew, though since the comic's going to be on hiatus for awhile this might be his only role for the moment. Though if we pick up again, we hope to see this weasel a little more hehehe.

Director's Commentary: Marty, old friend of George, shows off his girl and newish car. Ain't that a little jerkish? ^0^ Anybody might feel one-uped in that moment ^0^ I think this is Zaz's last scene, but I think for the little he did, he did well. Potter puts George's thoughts to words...er...text. And yeah, cigars are fake, though Spyro did enjoy lightning the tips and saying "they make me look cool".

Director's Commentary: Deal with the devil anyone? Heh heh. The buzzer was an "ehh" joke, but we had to move things along. We didn't think Ran would be able to pull off a pale colorization....he did heh heh.

Director's Commentary: Love some of the jokes here. Nearly all the cells have some chuckle-factor I think. Oh no, there's Zaz, putting on his best sly face. Spyro hated the glasses, he honestly could not read the paper so we just told him the liens beforehand. Marty, Kaa, hardly seen.

Director's Commentary: Things got real busy back then. Had to go scrap hunting to pay for a war. The Bedford Times paper came out really well, Norb looks pretty good in uniform heh heh.

Director's Commentary: And here's whre things start to go back. Spyro's rather dark in this, but he should be seeable. Though seriously, if Uncle Billy wasn't aiming to rub it in, then maybe.....na Potter would still take the money. Actually the money's kind of hard to see in the BW style, so we gave a highlight to it to show where it was. Where it ends up? Well...

Director's Commentary:...in Potter's hands! In the original film Potter was wheeled over, though Spyro complained that riding in the thing bent his tail up, so we skipped that. Now this bit with Violet isn't fully explained in the film. Violet is leaving Bedford for the big time in New York, but has little to go on in terms of references, so George makes a erm...'fake' recommendation, though it's true to his own word, Violet doubts the good character George makes of her. Oh yeah, and she was SO glad to get that 'kiss' I think heheh.

Director's Commentary: Billy breaks the news and George goes frantic. Find the money!! You know, though we could have commented on it, don't know what Potter ever did with that money. *shrugs* Probably lying in a pile somewhere. And yeah it was fake, no way we're putting real money in that dragons hands!

Director's Commentary: Some lighting effects we have here, plus a sorta-detailed background. Ha ha, we actually lucked out on Bert, and the Gamara joke was just like "oh this is perfect, it works on two levels". The pet thing, yeah Billy kept a LOT of animals, even a crow in the bank itself. Lets see...we have Pluto, Jiminey and...Woody...Woodpecker heh heh. And Mighty Mouse...who's about to become LUNCH!!! ^0^

Director's Commentary: George comes home and we see the rest of the family. Noel here plays Janie...Figment is Tommy and Trish is playing Zuzu. We switched Zuzu and Pete for personal reasons of a cast member, but it didn't affect the story at all so we went with it. Ran grabbing a muffin there at the end...at least...I think they were muffins heh heh.

Director's Commentary: I'm glad we were able to give this whole slide to Ran and Doru, they're good together. We changed "Zuzu's petals" to "Pete's bell" for...well the reason may be obvious, but we see how that comes out later. Ahh tender moments between father and son heh heh.

Director's Commentary: You'd think that reprieve would be enough from money-being-lost-and-your-business-and-livelyhood-is-at-stake thing...but na, George has to blast out at someone...so why not a stranger! ^0^ And like most men, and all fathers, they break stuff!

Director's Commentary: And some apologize right after. Heheh I agree "torture" was a strong word. Tahah "bender"...love that. And it's even funnier that George goes to POTTER of all people for help? They say elephants never forget? Well...applies to some dragons too tah!
