Game freezes? I know I've heard something about that...look at the Gamespots forums or do a google search. Here's a start: www.gamespot.com/ps2/rpg/kingdomhearts2/show_msgs.php?topic_id=m-1-41940787&pid=915410I didn't use drives my first time either...summons too...heck the only good summon that does something is Genie -_- Well...ok...Stitch is a key to winning the secret Underdome battles, which you DO need to level up your drives and summon power to access ^_-

Hmm...I hadn't encounter this problem personally...try...when you get to that screen, opening the lid. If the screen doesn't change pop it back in and let it read the disk again. I do that sometimes when a game gets stuck at a cut-scene. You may need to clean the disk a bit and then put it back in.

Oh, I love the Pirates Of The Caribbean level (I would do since it's my favourite film francise ;D)! I have to really praise the Kingdom Hearts animators since the models, details and scenary are beautiful! Fantastic quality for a game... Have you heard about Birth By Sleep, the new Kingdom Hearts game for PSP? I think I'll be getting it when it's released in Europe. It's currently only in Japan but I've heard there is a proper Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty level . Since this is to do with Kingdom Hearts anyway, could anybody give me tips on how to defeat Cerebus? Oh and those blackouts are probably to do with the disk? Hmm... my Madagascar game used to go haywire with the scratches, but I cleaned it with Game Doctor and it plays perfect now.

Yeah Birth By Sleep. It is a STUPID move to spread out three different games on three different consols. And Roxas's game is on the DS. A farcry from the original PS2 game. HOPEFULLY they'll retreak at least BBS and Roxas' to the PS2 later like they did with Chain of Memories -_-
Cerebrus? Which one? First or second? Either way...let me give my shot ^_^ First off, Cerebrus is really annoying. That vomit attack of his that sends up spikes of darkness makes you REALLY wish for the Dodge Roll ability (which IS in the Final Mix version, available as a Drive). Like Ivan said, have healing items and be wary of Cerebrus's head. Have Sora get in close and be careful. Reason to get in close is to trigger the Dog Paddle reaction command that knocks Cerebrus down and makes him vunerable for a few seconds.
Of course another way to go (and this is for you fight with him in the underworld, the first), is that if you DO accidentally lose...you have the option to let someone "Secret" assist Sora ^_- Of course he can't finish off Cerebrus (CAN take him down to 1hp) since to beat a boss you need to use a finishing move, but going near Sora and using the reaction command to wake him up will bring him back ^_^

Oh, I needed help for the 1st Kingdom Hearts. I thought I mentioned that aswell . Nevermind... Thanks for the tips and I'll probably have a go at defeating him today ;D. You know Stealth Sneak, the Chameleon boss in the Tarzan world, well, my friends actually made a joke involving Randall. They said he was his distant cousin and his very NAUGHTY distant cousin and well, I had to laugh.

What are you having trouble with in the first one?
Oh yes tahahah ^0^ And I find it quite interesting actually...because Stealth Sneak, if I can remember, is the ONLY boss you can FIGHT AGAIN. *nods* Twice actually. It's in one of the upper Coliseum battles....Hades Cup I think...you get to fight Stealth Sneak AGAIN in it. Although I will note that they are not the same color as the original....

Well, you helped me with the hints in the post above, but I know this is an optional battle to fight Cerebus. Would I be recommended to get the fight over with?

OH! Your speaking about the FIRST Kingdom Hearts ^0^ Ok... Well first off the time to do the fight is optional...but if you want to complete Olympius and go into the Coliseum battles, you have to beat him. I advice that you SHOULD beat Tarzan's level, thus beatin Stealth Sneak, as it will give you the Cure spell. Cerebrus is a challenge and you'll need the extra healing abilities. Now...I wouldn't so much use magic other than cure in the fight, as you'll rely more on Sora's attacks.... Now unsure when he gets it...but if Goofy has his Goofy Tornado, have him be equipped with that (and only that in terms of abilities that are attacks like Goofy Shield and Goofy Bash). Like said, it is possible to get on Cerebrus's back, though is kinda hard to do in this early stage...but the good news is that you have the entire arena, not just the square section, to use.

For defeating Cerebrus you get the Ifrit....horn? band? Ifrit something or other, which provides defense and fire elemental resistance. The vomit attack is when Cerebrus blows out a wave of darkness into the arena and it starts jutting out of the ground around Sora. This is in KH1. In KH2, Cerebrus seemed to have refined his abilities because he spits out dark balls that track Sora.
Oh yeah I remember that...tough fight too even when your in Drive. Not because he's hard to beat, because your timed and he keeps jumping around.
