aww love Labyrinth FairlyOddNewYorker yeah you're right Sean his voice is quite unique. he is also famous for saying he didn't think he was capable of being a rock n roll singer as his voice was too "weak!" how wrong can you be?! Scarily he also doesn't seem to age. There was a pic of him in our paper the other day comparing him now to when he was about 25. he looked....the same! xxx

The Labyrinth soundtrack should be called his biggest hit for music.

Sad thing is, all I've ever really heard of Bowie's IS the Labyrinth. But I think I might be getting a Best Of album in a few weeks time...any recommendations? ;D

well first off you should definitley get the Best Of! And though you say you've heard little more than the Lbayrinth soundtrack I'm almost certain you'll have heard the likes of "Changes", "Life On Mars" and "Starman" in your lifetime, perhaps without knowing it! these songs are just too well known to have no been heard of Albums you might want to start off with if you like what you hear- -Hunky Dory-my personal fave. very poppy songs which have inspired lyrics IMO -Heroes- you should own this for the title track on this album alone! The album itself is a bit sombre and dark at times though. -Scary Monsters -more experimental, early eighties rock sound There are many more albums, most which are very famous of course which you should hunt down if you like this little lot. His work goes downhill (in my opinion) during the mid eighties. but I think it's back on form in the late ninties. So check out recent albums if you can! hope this helps xxx
