In terms of antagonists I am writing, this states their position quite well as well as dark moments of various other characters. (Or so I hope). www.youtube.com/watch?v=zK268TLKCK4

I have to interject my little two cents' worth here, with regards to the many MM fanmade videos. Now, let me state that I'm NOT trying to step on any toes here. I'm aware that most of the people making these fan vids are probably under the age of 20, and their taste in music is obviously very different from mine(AND Meg's). Most of them would have probably never heard of Ozzy Osbourne or AC-DC, and to them "Slash" means something VERY different from one of the world's greatest still-living guitarists(not to mention a reknown authority on large snakes)! Still, it kinda bugs me that all of the fan vids I've seen of the movie feature Pop tunes that to ME, at least, don't seem to fit the character. You have to ask yourself, "WWMMD", lol, when it comes to the type of music HE'D want to represent him or his relationship with a certain nosy reporter. It's been pretty much established by what I've seen so far of this movie(and there's enough on the 'net to get a pretty good "feel"-no pun intended *cough, cough*-for his personality)that he's a died-in-the-leather, bona fide Metal-head, old-skool head-banger, so the two of us are definitely on the same page in that respect. I mean, so many of his machines and inventions(especially the Brainbots)are derived staight from the original Rob T. Williams "Appetite For Destruction" LP cover art(Google it and see if you agree; just be aware that it's adult in content, which is why it was changed) and from various Heavy Metal videos. So, WHY has there not been any fan vids that feature the sort of music that the main character himself listens to? The first time I saw that infamous "breakup-in-the-rain scene", I couldn't help but here Guns 'N Roses' "November Rain" in my head, especially THIS line: "And when your fears subside and shadows still remain, oh yeah I know that you can love me when there's no one left to blame So never mind the darkness we still can find a way Nothin' lasts forever even cold November rain ". Throw in that incomparable Slash guitar solo, and I mean, DAY-UM! Listen to the song(easy to find on YouTube)and see if you don't agree it just totally FITS here. All these Pop tunes-I can just about hear MM himself responding with his now-famous catch-phrase, "You're kidding, RIGHT??"
OK, off my little soapbox now, but hopefully as the fandom grows us old Metal Heads, regardless of which planet we're from, will get our due here; heck, this movie has made me wanna dust off my old vinyl LP's of GN F-N-Roses, Sabbath, Ronnie James Dio(RIP), Metallica's "Black Album"(listen to "Unforgiven" and see if that does't remind you of a certain guy's childhood), the whole Nine Yards, and just relive some of my own younger glory days, back when I was known to rock a few metal spikes on my all-black outfits, too(hard to picture now, lol).

Well generally I quite like the song and video regardless of the fact it's 'young' and more 'upbeat' plus people have different tastes in any case I'm betting- even if they HAVE heard of certain songs like that. Just because they even have heard of them doesn't mean they'll like them as much after all. Just because they like megamind doesn't mean they particulary share the same taste in music afterall, even when they have heard of it, nor does it mean it's easy to set an AMV too all that well. (I'm into a lot of different types of music myself though, so i'll check out that one later). When doing AMVs you have to listen to a song MANY times you see, which isn't something they may be interested in depending on the song. Plus of course in general, I'm guessing these songs are easier for certain people to do too depending. In fact in general AMVs sometimes can make me like songs I wouldn't normally like too. In any case this person has talent in it, and it's fun, which is the most important thing I think. A few videos may however result hopefully yes which MM himself would like, but generally, this is more for the fans rather than him of course. And it's still fun regardless! However actually, interestingly someone on livejournal is currently wanting AMV ideas however (though I don't care for the example video music she actually gave myself)- maybe you should join the fan group and tell them your ideas! community.livejournal.com/megamind_movie/237290.html(Glad to hear you saw the movie, isn't it great?! )

Yeah, that's what I'M talkin' bout, lol! Megs is such a Heavy Metal kinda guy, and I mean, how many so-called "kiddie movies" have "Highway to HELL" in 'em?
Is it just me, or is the way MM moves in that clip reminiscent of another green-eyed bad-ass "villain" we all know and love? I mean, he's so FAST and agile...the way he sorta just glides up to that cop made me half-way expect him to start going on about some "winds of change"...seems I really have a thing for little wiry, sinewy dudes with bright green eyes and tons of emotional baggage, doesn't it?
Not to mention very GAME little wiry, sinewy dudes with bright green eyes and tons of emotional baggage, speaking of which, some of the AMV makers are finally at least adding some serious rock to the mix...we've mentioned THIS particular song on here before, as one of the songs that fits Randall's personality so well, and now there's someone else it fits with, too:

Megamind has his mum's eyes (they're green too.) He's pretty much awesome all round I think old MM. I have that song myself! And the album it's on too. I kind of eventually love and like almost all the characters in this movie apart from Hal generally, but even his ending was good. I haven't managed to find that clip you wanted. (But dang I have to look out for it, I love this ship) I did find this. I adore Minion too. Here's Roxanne, MM and Minion though just after Roxie is kidnapped. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UrglwLNQh8&feature=channel

Sulley tribute in feeling pressure and guilt maybe later? Randall tribute during movie events? Some bits work for either, some work a bit more for either one. Mostly Sulley somehow though for me. Stabilo: Flawed Design www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SHNE8vaLEY

I like both of these songs and they both have the same name but they're different songs with different lyrics and everything. XD
And here are some more songs I like a lot:
