Yeah i agree with all these comments, and as Beboots said reincarnation would be so cool. but then would you actually be able to remember you past life? I doubt it considering the life we're leading today might simply be an reincarnation. does anyone ever feel strong senses of deja-vu or have storng connections with certain things? I know I'm gonna sound like a freak when I say this, but I've always felt right at home in a forest and I have this weird nostalgic feeling come over me whenever I'm in one. It's not really something I can explain, but I sometimes get the feeling I've lived a long time in one, and for some odd reason I like to walk through a forest in the dark. anyway I was just wondering if other people get these odd sensations and wonder if it might be a link to a past life? and if there is just merely oblivion/nothingness after death, I'd say its a real cop-out! Many relegions seem to thrive (I'm not relegious myself) on doing what is right in belief that there is something better after death, and its not nice to think this effort in life has gone to waste if nothing comes of it. oblivion. how depressing. xxx Do you mean the Guardian Angel fanfic, Beboots? If so Ive read it and loved it

How death happens and what happens after it is very controversial. Many believe in different opinions. Faintly....some don't fear death really.
Scientists believe that the cells deterioation (or whatever) slowly consumes a person till the point the body does not respond to normal functioning.
And yes Cool, I too agree with the Gaia thought....
The planet itself grows just like a person. But, people thrive on the planet itself. Without a planet....well....you know, nothing lives. Gaia is like a vein running through a planet. It makes all life grow and all aspects of life and death and the continuing flow of souls.
Perhaps when you die, you do not really die.
Perhaps there is no Heaven and Hell. Perhaps when we die....our souls return to Gaia. The world of souls. There....life is like it once was. Life restarts.
Funny....there is also another stream....too bad it ain't as strong in the Human Relm....

I sort of believe in reincarnation. Maybe when you get where you go after you die, you can choose to be reincarnated. I was talking to my comrades about past-lives. One of them is convinced she was cat at one point. Well, whatever floats your boat, I guess. I think that maybe I was a nun or some kind of clergyman.

Reincarnation is a good theory. Choosing WHAT and HOW to be reincarnated as is up for grabs...

Well, I think with the whole death thing, we really have to wait and see- there's no way, at least, that I know of, that we can find out what happens with death BEFORE we die, so...yeah...We'll just have to wait and see.

"To the well organized mind, death is but the next great adventure"- so said by either Gandalf or Dumbledore, I can't remember which.

I used that quote as a chapter title for my Limbo fic. ^_^ (I added onto it "... But to the rest of us, THIS SUCKS!") It was said by Dumbledore, but I think that Gandalf said something similar.

Gandalf, I think, said "Don't be so eager to deal out death and judgement"

Gandalf, I think, said "Don't be so eager to deal out death and judgement" Wise old wizards are always dealing out quotes like that. It's a part of their job descriptions. ^_^
