That's probably very true.
But hey, it's still free food and drink! ;D

Yeah well....I still like going somewhere and actually appreciating the person.
The few times I actually HAD people other than my family at a birthday party was years ago when I was younger. Not like anyone but my family cared anyway.

True...but if you've got to be in school anyway, and someone's bringing stuff in to celebrate, 'course you're gonna join in! ;D
Every so often I'll have my close friends do something for my birthday. Usually it's more of a family thing. Or a "just give me money and let me my buy myself things"...thing.
I knew a kid once whose religion prevented him from celebrating ANY holidays, ever, at all, including birthdays. I felt really bad for him.

Mm...That's sad. I usually just go to the cinema with a bunch of nutters that I call my friends (one of which is Zelda) and last time we saw the Incredibles. It was dude. ;D

Yeah, frequently my friends and I do the movie thing if there's nothing else to do.
Once we camped out in a tent in the backyard, that was one of the better ones. And pool parties--lots of those because my bday's in July.

God, wish we could have pool parties over here. Problem is, it kind of rains...a lot. Yeah. So we usually do sleepovers watching a film or bowling. Bowling's fun. ;D Oh, and sometimes random things like painting pottery and jumping on a giant trampoline when it's snowing. ;D

And we never replaced it. : ( Yeah, bowling is way fun, especially laser bowling (bowling with laser lights over the alley).

I bowled. Got 3 consecuative strikes once.....
I remember we had trips in Middle School in our Gym classes..... I beat out my "friend" by getting EXACTLY what I needed to beat him.

Trips reminds me of the fact that...in...a month or so, our whole school is doing this thing called 'Challenge Week' in which we just spend a whole week doing all of these different activities. On the Friday afternoon, a 'surprise' is scheduled, which I, for one, am certainly NOT looking forward to simply because last year's surprise was holding up pieces of card spelling out our school motto, 'together we aspire, together we achieve'. It was the most boring thing EVER. ;D

"Come to Learn, Leave to Serve" Pfft.....that's ours....
I remember we had a sort of "gauntlet" thing in our elementary school. Different challenges.....I won most if I remember right heh heh...

Leave...to serve? That's practically demeaning, as though the best you'll ever be able to do is serve someone else! Who creates this crap? ;D

More like the whole world- I mean, together we aspire, together we achieve...Well, how the heck are you meant to be together if you keep being sent out of the room?!
