Animal Farm is a book written by George Orwell. It is about Farm animals that rebelled against their cruel owner and operated the farm on their own. But soon the pigs got the power and things went downhill. It has been made into 2 movies. One in cartoon and one in real life. Any comments about the two movies or book?

I've read the book; it was required reading when I was in high school, and I found it to be a very good commentary on human social structure. You can see parallels between the various animal characters and human political leaders of Orwell's day...or today's, for that matter. I can definately see comparisons between this book and what is happening in Iraq, for example.

OH!!! I remeber that A LONG time ago! But I didn't know the name!
I remember. The farmer accidentally killed a large pig, the leader of the animals, which lead to allot of truths and disorder and unbalance of the animals, leading to revoult.
If I remember right, the book/movie (I've seen the movie), was suppose to be a parody of some war...

I had to read it, and it shocked me by being surprisingly good ... then later we had to watch the movie, the live-action one. It was great, but I hated it how they left out the one horse and gave the dog more of a part ... but it was all right ... Old Major was so huge and cute, lol ^^ I hated what happened to him though ... sicker ending in the movie x__x

I forget how it ended though....
One thing I hated was how the "evil" pig trained the one dog's puppy's to chase his opponet away...

If I remember right, the book/movie (I've seen the movie), was suppose to be a parody of some war... It was supposed to be a parody of the Soviet Union, where a bunch of poor people rebelled against the people who were treating them cruelly, like the animals rebelling against their cruel master.

Well... The master wasn't really cruel....he kinda made a mistake by killing the pig and....hmm...what the heck was he really aiming at?

*sticks fingers in ears and sings loudly* I think we're studying Animal Farm this year at school (depending on what our teachers choose) so we'll be reading the book and probably (and hopefully) watching the film then. It sounds very interesting!
