Yeah mine was pretty uneventful too, though I just picked up Suikoden V today, can't wait to play it. It's supposed to harken back to the good ole days of Suikoden I and II.

? Shuikoden? Hey... I've got IV. Seems simple to me though..... I like the animation and the party attacks, but it seems pretty straightforeward in terms of magic.

Ya, it was way too simplified for my tastes, V is supposedly greatly enhanced and yet incorporates a lot of the earlier games. Have you beaten IV? If not where did you get up to. I found IV to be easy, perhaps a little too easy.....

Uh lets see....After the shipwreck, when you sort of become the right-hands of a king and go into this temple with a guide. In the temple there's one of those powerful bosses, a white puff-ball. Blew me away even though I got a few shots at him. The gellymen are annoying.

Oh yeah! I remember that! I think that fight is optional though. That thing was a pain, if I remember, there was a trick to beating it though.....That king is your father btw. I always liked the 108 Stars concept, gives you so much to do.

I haven't found any stars.

Ah sure ya have. The Stars are the characters themselves, it's 108 characters you can recruit, you're one of em too.

Ah...I see... Is there some sort of special thing about the beginning of the game with what what characters you have in your party? I mean the knights that your assigned with. Is there a sort of relationship that determines the two other party memebers that accompany you and...err...the cat guy?

Yes there is, it's when you choose who you want to do errands with. It effects who you have with you throughout the game. The cat guy joins you regardless. And if you can find and recruit all characters, you get the best ending, provided you make the right decisions that is. I believe Snowe is the last character to recruit.

Yes. I think if it's sparing his life and helping him out all the time. I loved him panicing when we were ambushed by that one guy with the Rune of Punishment. Of course, being the brave adventure I am, I took command and defeated them. ^_^
Ah I see... I got that one woman and that young man with the bandana. They both carry swords. I think the woman's a healer and the young man uses thunder magic.

Yeah that's um, Kenneth and uh, crud, can't remember her name. Paula maybe, or was that the elf? And yeah Snowe is a big coward, plus when Brandeau the Pirate King attacks he abandons you just like that. I like Glenn Cott, how he was the voice of Margulis from Xenosaga. Snowe actually becomes a bit of a sellout later on and you have to spare his life 2 other times after defeating him both times. After you get 107 characters, cruise the ocean a bit, and you'll find him all washed out. Offer to forgive him and you have all the characters. That also breaks the curse of the Rune of Punishment, as you have to forgive your enemies (although that includes Troy in the end).

Yes. Kenneth and Paula, that was their names. Kenneth's not bad on the physical side, and Paula's mentality is pretty good as well.
Margulis? Yes. That guy was somewhat mysterious and deep, I like him as a bad guy.
So far I haven't gotten down the main plot line of the story, it seems a bit scattered.

Yeah I know, Margulis is a great villian.
Which storyline? IV or Xenosaga?

Oh, it's quite simple, the Kooluk Empire is attacking the Island Nations to find the Rune of Punishment so that they can present it to the Holy Kingdom of Harmonia as a gift in return for military aid in attacking the Scarlet Moon Empire (the country from the first game). Gaien pretty much forsakes Razril and you're left to face the Kooluk Empire on your own, uniting the various Island Nations under your banner (once you get that big warship/headquarters) and preventing Graham Cray from getting his hands on the Rune of Punishment as well. He cut off his arm to get rid of it before, but now he wants it back. He invented a mechanical arm that makes him immune to the effects of the Rune.
Can't wait for Xenosaga III btw ^_^
