I'll admit, I was late to actually watching the X-Men movies. But once I saw X-Men 2, I couldn't help but love Nightcrawler. He reminded me a bit of Randall, and I feel that the characters could relate somehow. My brother disagrees though, since he thinks Randall would be sarcastic or something and scare Nightcrawler since he's more timid ... but he doesn't know Randall well.
Anyone else here like/love Nightcrawler? ^_^

Anyone else here like/love Nightcrawler? ^_^ I was into the X-Men comics back in my college days, LONG before anyone thought of turning that franchise into movies, and Nightcrawler wasn't in there, yet. Wolverine was then, and still is, the main guy. A couple of years ago one of my students remarked that Nightcrawler reminded him of Randall, so you aren't the only one to see that similarity. I don't find Randall to be sarcastic, though. And, as we've discussed before, most, if not all, of Randall's negative behavior and attitude is due to the immense stress he's been under, and an unpleasant situation for him in general. If you took away those factors, and gave him time and an opportunity to return to "healthy" personality levels, you'd see a very different side. pitbulllady

Yeah I noticed a similarity. But mostly because of their abilities at first.
I have to admit I was surprised of not seeing him in X-Men 3.

Alan Cumming...you know the actor who played him? Probably couldn't get him to come back. ^_^

Oh right. Hey. But they could have done the same thing they did for Dumbledore....

Yeah, though it was a different director for the third one, that might have had something to do with it as well.

I'm gonna see X-Men 3 on Tuesday, since I really enjoyed the previous two (and my mum likes Hugh Jackman.) I loved Nightcrawler in the second one- he was so unique, especially concerning his culture. I guess he is slightly like Randall, in the sense that he is considered a freak among freaks, but they don't have similar personalities, IMO.

Well the fact he was in the circus might also give insight into that.

Well for the third movie it was, that may be why Nightcrawler didn't return.

Hate me if you want, but I thought the third was bad. I guess it's just 'cause I'm sick of more and more x-men being killed off ... and Nightcrawler not being in it. ^^

The third one really lacked the punch of the other two, and I don't think it lived up to the hype, so don't worry, you're not alone ^_^
