"WALL-E is the story about the last little robot on Earth. He is a robot that his programming was to help clean up. You see, it's set way in the future. Through consumerism, rampant, unchecked consumerism, the Earth was covered with trash. And to clean up, everyone had to leave Earth and set in place millions of these little robots that went around to clean up the trash and make Earth habitable again. Well, the cleanup program failed with the exception of this one little robot and he's left on Earth doing his duty all alone. But it's not a story about science fiction. It's a love story, because, you see, WALL-E falls in love with [Eve], a robot from a probe that comes down to check on Earth, and she's left there to check on and see how things are going and he absolutely falls in love with her."
Apparently you're right Veg, that was taken from that letter to the investors that John Lasseter wrote (it was posted earlier in this thread).

Yay! I'm looking forward to watch Ratatouille! ;D ;D ;D Don't know if my mom will go watch it since she's terrified of rats and mice.

Hahaha =P Guess what? My mom too! And my brother has a rat... She thinks rats and mice are cute, as long as they don't come near her. =P A few weeks ago my brother's rat escaped (for the 2nd time), and she was terrified and REALLY glad I came home! =P So we searched for it and we found her (the rat) behind the refridgerator...
Reminds me of Remy... Perhaps Tonka (the rat again =P) wants to be a chef (-uhm... cook?) too! =P

Hah! Yeah! ;D My mom will allow me to get a pet rat when I have my own apartment, but when she's coming to visit, she says I have to hide the rat in another room. ;D

There's a rumour going around that it's going to be a silent film - at least for a decent chunk of it. I think it can go either way. The idea sounds very original, but I'm not sure what the reception tot he silent bit will be. I think Wall-E looks cute, I'll certainly see it, but... it doesn't really appeal hugely to me. Am I alone on this one?
