The weird thing is, a LOT of animated films out-perform live-action films.

Well, I was just thinking...
Being how live-action movies use real actors, and working with the real people, and with Computer-Animated movies, where on the ultimate sense, you're working with computers or drawings, maybe Hollywood knows that and seperated them.
Then again, it would be great if there was 'best live-action movie', 'best animated movie', and then something like 'best picture' where eiter live or animated are considered.

Truthfully, I didn't like the Incredibles. *braces self* I mean, it was BEAUTIFULLY done and the voices were great and all, I just didn't enjoy it. ...It won an award? Wow...never knew that...=P I don't like live action movies much. Sometimes some are good, as National Treasure, PotC, Harry Potter, LotR and.....that other one..... Forgot.. anyway, I prefer animated. Anime, Cartoon, computer, I just feel better watching that then Live Actions... *shrug* Yup. I'm a cartoon freak....=D

Well....I guess imagination is sorta limited when just to humans...

Maybe it could be that Humans can only do so much, while with animated characters, the possibilities are nearly endless.
... on one note, I have this feeling that live-action movies are getting a little downbeat to me.

I have to admit, I preferred a lot of other Pixar films to The Incredibles, like Toy Story and Finding Nemo, although they kept saying that with the Incredibles, they had to work their hardest. ;D

The things that made "The Incredibles" so difficult to animate were the humans. Human skin is VERY tough to recreate in CGI, and so is hair. Not just hair, in the case of this movie, but WET hair. Clothing is also difficult, since you have to make it have wrinkles and move when the wearer moves, just like real cloth. Not only that, but you have to make different kinds of material, which movies and behaves different. Then, there's all those explosions and fireballs, which aren't exactly a piece of cake, either.

But it's easy once you get it. They say they used Bob for many of the other background characters...
