After watching the Star Wars Special Features, I found out that George Lucas created a computer division, that later was sold to become Pixar.
Pretty cool huh?

Wow, dude! It's like, isn't Apple connected to Pixar in some way, at least, some of the people involved in Pixar created Apple?

Jobs is CEO of both Apple AND Pixar. Jobs also is a founder of Apple, but Pixar originally belonged to George Lucas, who sold it to Jobs. Apple developes the software used to create Pixar's films, and the use of Apple products is sprinkled throughout some of their movies. I know that the computer Bob uses at his desk in "The Incredibles" is an Apple, and there is also a Mac on board the plane which takes him to Nomanisan Island. Mirage has an iPod to record notes onto while she's on the island, too. Mike's computer at his workstation-what you can actually SEE of it for all the Post-It notes reminding himself to do his paperwork-is an old-style Apple Mac.

I noticed that, too! I LOVE Apple Macs, and although I don't own one, I'd love to in the future. ;D

Apple products appear in the Pixar movies? Why haven't I noticed that before?! *is now compelled to rewatch The Incredibles this weekend just to find them* ;D I LOVE Apple Macs, and although I don't own one, I'd love to in the future. ;D I'm right with ya, Cool; I got my first Macintosh about 9 months ago (mostly because of my animation major), and after spending so much time with it, I can see why the "Mac freaks" are so in love with these machines! Forget that they look great (especially the notebook computers and the iMacs); Mac OS X is just wonderfully intuitive, extremely stable, and the chances of them getting bugged with viruses, spyware, adware and the like is VERY low (since about 95% of viruses, etc. are only targeted at PCs ;D ). As far as I could tell, too, those were the only types of computers they had at Pixar when I visited back in October (which makes sense anyway, since Pixar IS Jobs' company as well). There are only two real negatives to Macs: one, they DO cost a pretty penny in comparison to PCs (which is why we used eBay to get the one I have now); and two, you'll have to plan on buying all-new Mac-friendly versions of software like Microsoft Office (which aren't cheap, either) unless you decide to get a PC-emulator like "Virtual PC" (which works pretty well) instead, which'll run the PC-versions of software on your Mac. That said -- and if and when you have the money available, Cool -- then I HIGHLY recommend getting a Mac. They're just THAT awesome, IMO. ;D ~Light Rises

When I get the money? Bloody hell, that's gonna be decades away- right now, I'm saving up for going to an Oxford university, which is gonna use up all of my cash (the small amount of it that exists) in one go. ;D

That sucks. But I can totally understand you trying to save up for college/university first and foremost; I have a lot of classmates who are getting themselves through school without any help from their families, so they're now juggling work, class schedules and assignments. So it's probably best that you save up a bunch of money now and within the next few years, and make it easier on yourself. But perhaps you might get a scholarship...? *sigh* Ah, well. Macs are terrific, but getting one can certainly be put off. ~Light Rises

Wait a minute.......was Oxford your inspiration for the university your Randall goes to in your fic? Yep! ;D And yeah, Light Rises, a scholarship would be great, but there are only a few places, and it's very hard to get one. But hey, it's years away yet, and I might not even go to Oxford. I'm saving up now just in case, really...and also because I'm pretty much desperate to go to an Oxford uni. I mean, they're amazing! It's like in Harry Potter! ;D
