Speaking of road trips, I just got back from one! (Sorta) I've been skiing at Marmot Basin, in Jasper (that's in the Rocky Mountains, in case you didn't know) the last few days, and I just got back. Lots and lots of fun. Didn't die, either, and that's always a plus.

Nice, nice! Sounds like a blast. I want to go skiing. Never done it actually. I did LOVE the Rocky Mountains when I drove through them though...OH! So picturesque. They were blanketed in snow while everything below looked more like the middle of summer. ...and yeah, it's always good when you can return from trips alive... ;D 'Specially with skiing...

Oooh, skiing! *shudders* I was put off skiing when a friend of mine returned from a holiday with stitches all down her knee. But hey, since you returned alive, I might have second thoughts! ;D

My brother got a huge gash on his shin from a snowboarder yesterday. It's nasty-looking. Apparently, the snowboarder just rammed right into him, head on, and just continued onwards (after knocking him down). Didn't even appologize. Now my brother has to get new ski pants because there's a ten cm long hole in his current ones. Ouch.

I know! I got hit by a snowboarder (bowled over, more like) on the first day of skiing, but at least he stuck around, helped me up, and made sure I was all right before moving on.

You'd think everybody would be able to have common decency, but nooooo...

And here's where the whole "Common decency isn't so common" thing fits in. *snaps fingers* No, wait, that's common sense, isn't it?

Common decency AND sense: both very rare.

And, geez, that guy who hurt your brother sounds like a real jerk. He needs a serious attitude adjustment.

You live in the Rockies? *is consumed by jealousy* I love the scenery, the wildlife, and pretty much everything there. When I grow up, I hope to live in a mountain town. ^_^

I remember we took field trips to the mountains our house is by. That place was perhaps the best wild life I could find. It was an interesting feeling...
