Oh I'm sorry I missed this one until it was bumped... Mine's A Bug's Life. (I mean, if I had to pick a favorite.) When I was a kid I practically lived in the dirt and mud, playing with bugs and invertebrates. I brought them in the house all the time and got in trouble, lol. I used to just spend hours watching snails. They're very interesting. Anyways I also prefer James and the Giant Peach to Nightmare Before Christmas, for another example, since James was one of my favorite books as a kid. This suprises everyone because I'm kinda goth and people think I would like Nightmare more. But I also kinda dislike things when its uber-popular, like Nightmare is, and that turns me off a bit. My favorite Pixar short is Luxor Jr.

Luxor Jr.?
James and the Giant Peach seemed like a landmark to me. While Who Framed Roger Rabbit fused Toons with Humans, James fused Humans with clay-animation.

Luxor Jr., if I remember correctly, is that yellow ball with a blue stripe and two red stars used as a sort of cameo in, I think, all Pixar films at one point or another, but before any of the films were made, they created a short film entirely on Luxor Jr.
Oh, and my favourite short film is between Knick Knack (featured as a bonus with Finding Nemo, and is about this little snowman who lives in a snow globe on a shelf of knick-knacks and who tries desperately to get out of the container) and Boundin', which came with The Incredibles. I love Boundin'!!! ;D

I don't remember that one....
I remember that! Haven't seen it yet. Should. Boundin was WEIRD to me. I remember sitting in the theatre and saying, "what the heck is this?". Not like I was disappointed. But I was a bit off by the animation and story of it heh heh. Still funny though.

Luxo, Jr. (sorry, there's no 'r') was Pixar's "debut" short film, about the baby lamp who's hopping around and jumps on the ball and deflates it.

Oh right! The lamp. I didn't know his name. Heh heh...he was cute...even if he was an appliance...
Makes you wonder what they do when you leave the home...

Still funny though. I think the animation was actually one of the best bits of animation Pixar have ever done- the water was amazing! And Bud Lukey's voice throughout really added a sort of...homely feel to it all- the whole thing was based on his ideas, after all.
