WAIT... They didn't say they had a seller yet... Disney and Pixar ARE going to have talks....
The only problem is...one of the topics they'd have is Pixar's selling price...
This is a disaster... Great... And I have to tell Ran so close to Nov. 3....
Crap....

If nothing else... We could try sending another petition. This one, this time, would be sent through any Pixar-contact address we can find. It may be an annoyance, but the bigger the uproar, the easier the response right?

Okay, guys; all I can see us doing for the moment is not going to go see the Chicken Little Movie. I mean, any little bit helps, right?

Perhaps. Hey! Maybe we can write bad review for the movie on popular sites or something?

we have to do something! that's 4 sure! we should say that the movie sucks but the problem is we have little kids who want to see the chicken and then there's some parents that are like ooooooooh it looks like a cute movie and then they remember when they were young and remember the old story of the dumb chicken! need i say more!

First of all, writing a bad review of a movie you haven't even seen is STU-PID, plain and simple! It will be very, very obvious to anyone who HAS seen it that said "reviewer" hasn't, and is B-S*ing the whole thing. Anyone remember all those "reviews" of "Monsters, Inc." in which Randall was referred to as a "CENTIPEDE" or a "HALF-EARWIG"? It was totally clear that the person who wrote it had NOT seen the movie and had no idea what he was writing about! PLUS, if Steve Jobs IS indeed willing to sell Pixar, I honestly don't see how the success or failure of a Disney movie is going to change his mind. If he wants to sell it, SOMEBODY, if not Disney, will buy it, and who knows what that will do to the future of the characters we've all come to know and love?

Yes, thank you. That's what made me feel sick to my stomach: It's not so much the success or failure of Chicken Little anymore that will give either Disney or Pixar this "leverage". Now it's more about who's got the right amount of cash and willing to fork it over. I. Am. Afraid. Another thing also. Bad movie reviews from average drifters on amazon, rottentomatoes.com and whatnot are hardly ever head-turners unless that reviewer (or reviewers) happens to have some influence within the mass media like, say, Newsweek. Take Tim Burton's Corpse Bride for example: I thought it was terrible. Probably a few others, too. But if it's readily taken in by the vast majority and given damn good reviews by moviegoers and the media alike (again, think Corpse Bride), very few people along with myself probably wouldn't have made whole lot of noise because we happened to disagree, IMHO. Same goes with Chicken Little. If it turns out to be a box-office hit, I will only say that without the MAJOR creative aid from Pixar, I never would have seen it coming from Disney alone. If it flops, it flops. And then I'll do a cheer. Either way, it's like pitbulllady said: If Mr. CEO is quite willing to sell Pixar at the right price, chances are it won't really matter who buys. EDIT: I don't want to make another post just for this, but just thought you guys would want to know... I don't know what sites/magazines/newspapers you guys read for film reviews, but here are some from rottentomatoes.com. I usually dig up top reviews from there to decide whether a movie is worth my $7.50. So far, Chicken Little has received one rotten review and two fresh ones from none other than the Hollywood Reporter and Time Magazine. I won't start the bashing just yet, if any. I want to go see it just so that later on I can justify my opinions. I saw one review though that claimed it was "too Disney", so...

Actually...Chicken Little DOES go for the money as well SSW. If it does poor, Jobs may ask for more.
Well I don't see you guys coming up with anything.

That's because there isn't anything remotely feasable that any of US can come up with! All we can really do is wait and see, since none of us has any inside connections at Pixar whatsoever. The whole thing could very well turn out to be a rumor, who knows? One thing is certain-writing a fake "review" of a movie you haven't seen in order to keep others from seeing it will surely backfire in your face, and severely damage your credibility. It's better to do nothing that to do something pointless and stupid that makes you look bad.

I suppose...I just thought of that out of desperation.... Hmm.... But we should think of ideas nonetheless...as a pre-caution...
