I haven't read the article yet since you gave the gist (thanks ^_^)
But this seems good. This means that they would get in sequels for many of the films. And if they're going into chronological order at 2-1, it'll be quick for M.I. 2 to come out.

While I'm excited by the increased production, I'm a little apprehensive about a Toy Story 3.....

oh I Hope really soon for MI 2! Ditto here!! ^.^ And at any rate I wish they will bring Randall back, even if they don't show that he isn't a bad guy.

oh I Hope really soon for MI 2! Ditto here!! ^.^ And at any rate I wish they will bring Randall back, even if they don't show that he isn't a bad guy. As much as I love Randall, I would rather never see him in a movie again, than to see him once more portrayed as some "evil" villain, who is ultimately made a fool of, and who ultimately "gets his just desserts" at the hands of Mike and Sulley. He's been through more than enough already, and got worse than he deserved. To see him dragged through the proverbial mud, yet again, would turn me against going to see another Pixar movie, EVER. Either they can give him a chance to redeem himself, to honestly EARN respect that's he'd always wanted, or they can leave him out of the sequel. I'm not into "evil" or "darkness"; I went through a very mild phase when I was in college, but thankfully, I grew up. Every run-of-the-mill Saturday morning kiddie cartoon features some nasty Bad Guy(or Gal)who is constantly being made a fool of, or getting beaten by, the "Good Guys". *YAWN*. It would be far more original, and far more positive, for a movie to feature a well-developed character arc, in which the "Bad Guy" is able to defeat the evil within HIMSELF, rather than just get beat up by the "Good Guy". So far, "Lilo and Stitch" is the only animated movie, connected to Disney anyway, in which this was shown, and it changed my outlook on the whole "good vs. evil" thing forever. Stitch was CREATED to be evil and violent and destructive, yet HE overcame that aspect of himself, so surely Randall can be shown in that same light, and the movie still be believable. pitbulllady

Well you all better change your opinions because Randall IS going to be in M.I. 2. It just isn't right without him.

I never said he wouldn't be in MI2. My opinion will stand firm thanks..... yes there is a selfish side of me that wants him to be in the sequel regardless of how crappily he will be treated... of course, that side of me will ultimately be tied up, gagged and thrown into the depths of my subcontious
