I only have it on VHS I was wondering what the special features were? I remember seeing something like 'Mike's New Car' on my friend's DVD......but are there interviews or anything? More importantly, are there interviews with Steve Buscemi?
Thanks ;D

there's little interviews with all the cast. Steve is not really on there a lot, but you should get the DVD anyway. it has so many extra features. it's amazing if you're interested in the movie process or if you just really love MI. but it has enough on there to keep you busy for hours. it was my first DVD.

The DVD special features are just so extensive, and yes there are things wanting if you're a Buscemi fan, but overall if you're just a fan of the movie in and of itself, they really went over the top with the special features. Its literally just loaded with tons and tons of them, hence the two DVD set with the collector's edition, which really isn't too hard to find. Plus with a DVD it'll last theoretically forever, unlike a VHS so yes, I'd recommend getting it on DVD so you not only have the preservation, but the abundance of special features as well.

it's a DVD that will make all the DVDs you get after it look bad. that's how many special features are on it. i wish my Spider-Man DVDs could be more like that.

It's so crammed with special features, you could just spend hours and hours watching it. It may be a little lacking in Steve Buscemi, but there is some worthy Randall content, especially in some of the storyboards, and if you're a Pixar fan generally, then it's a must-have!

and i think it's just amazing to see how the story developed. wasn't the original Randall character called Ned? XD and Randall likes coffee (there's not "I" in that). just interesting things like that. i think it all takes about 4 hours to watch.

This was said by Pitbulllady in Coffee in Randall's section since I wondered that very same thing ^0^: There is a "rough-animated" scene in the extras on the DVD, in which Randall tries to explain to Sulley how to make coffee. From the impassioned speech he gives on the subject, it is obvious that coffee is something very near and dear to Randall's heart(in other words, he's addicted to the stuff, like Yours Truely). Also, judging from Randall's behavior in the movie, I'd wager that he'd been coffee-deprived, probably due to his schedule, and was experiencing withdrawal. If you have ever been around someone who is a caffeine junky, who has not had their "fix", you will know what I mean!
I don't think there was anything that showed where it was, but I think it's in the Human section and somewhere with Story Boards....

The DVD is packed full of extras! I think I've managed to go through them all . I wouldn't have thought Steve would describe his character like in the interview: "He has no moral code." and "He's truely evil at heart." Even so, I enjoy the features, although I was kinda hoping for some insight on how they animated Randall?

Well Steve mostly said that since this DVD goes everywhere. Truely he knows Randall's not evil and that he's a hard worker and such...and I even recall in one statement that he wouldn't mind having Randall as a son once...

It's kinda interesting that in a much more detailed interview, Steve described Randall as NOT being evil, but being "very insecure" and "more competitive than most." I dunno...maybe he made those comments on the DVD before he actually portrayed the character, and was just more or less quoting what he was told to say. pitbulllady

Sorry I sound so excited but I love hearing about Steve's statements about his characters. It's what I call to myself rare material...

*nods* That's true...and lets all remember that was all around the time Eniser was in charge -_-
*nods* I'll see if I can find that again...I'm also a good searcher ^0^ Oh yeah there IS allot of material out there that prods to other truths and vents. For instance, I showed everyone here a pic of what Randall really felt when Waternoose jabbed him with "Sullivan was twice" comment.
