I love everything done by Hayao!!! ^_^ Especially "Spirited Away"!! I just got the special edition 2 disk DVD... I'm so proud!
I watched "Princess Mononoke" four years back... It was all in Japanese... Now I've got the DVD... Must admit... it makes a lot more sense... ^_^

^_^ I've just learned that his studio produced a total of 13 movies that were released world-wide. The latest one, sometime this year, is Howl's Moving Castle. But anyway. This deal was, get this, made with DISNEY!

He rocks, man. Just rocks. I love ALL of his films, though I don't actually own any...*sob* Though I'm definitely getting Howl's Moving Castle when it comes out.

How about "Kiki's Deliver Service" it was released recently...
But it was made in 1989... O.O! Is anyone as amazed about that as I am?!? ... I mean I was BORN that year...
All of his work is very artistic... Every detail is ... there ... you know? Every movement.... well thought out...
(*Chocks*) D-Disney... (*sigh*) Great... I thought Madman Entertainment produced his work?

Recently? I've seen it before. It's been out for awhile now.
Don't get too discouraged VJ. Pixar has it's people out to watch him. Heck. John Lassenger (umm) is said to be a great friend of the big guy.
Anybody want a list of the films that are over here?

Miyazaki's works? *drool* Best.... stuff... ever... *happy sigh* I particularly liked the animation in "Princess Mononoke" and the music in "Castle in the Sky" (Laputa theme... so... pretty...) plus the falling dragon scene (and it's music, which I have on my iPod) in Spirited Away.
I've also seen "Kiki's Delivery Service" (which is also an awesome movie), and read the manga version of "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind", which is REALLY good and I can't wait to see the movie version. Plus, I've downloaded a few AMVs of "Howl's Moving Castle", and I'm going to buy it as soon as I possibly can.
So, uh, yeah, I'm a Miyazaki fan. ^_^
Has anybody heard of the running joke in which, because all of his main protagonists share a certain resemblance (for example, compare the main chick in "Sprited Away" to Kiki in "Kiki's Delivery Service"), it's said that the main characters are all "actors" and "actresses" who act in his movies. ^_^

* "My Neighbor Totoro" * "Whisper of the Heart" * "Nausicaa" * "Kiki's Delivery Service" * "Mononoke Hime" * "Grave of the Fireflies" * "Laputa: Castle in the Sky" * "Pom Poko" * "Porco Rosso" * "Only Yesterday" * "I Can Hear the Sea" * "My Neighbors the Yamadas" * "Spirited Away" *Howl's Moving Castle
The first one I saw when I was REALLY little. Those little black puffy guys were really cute. Of them all I've seen 6. OH! Mononoke Hime is Princess Mononoke. Some of these I bet you guys haven't seen or heard of, but they are all Worldwide release.

Wow... I've seen at least... three of them... (*sniffle*) Damnit! I haven't seen hardly any of those anywhere... that sucks...
But I'll make it a top priority to see them... and buy them! ^_^

Scary! Oh, and it is quite likely that in Australia, Howl's Moving Castle will be coming out in the cinema quite soon, as it is the most recent of Myazaki's works.

Howl's Moving Castle? In America, it was released three or four months ago and they're not showing it in the cinemas any more over there.
