I didn't know where to put this...I guess... But I've been emotionally hurt lately because of how much I love Monsters. People have recently been thinking that I was talking to Johnny on the phone, like I was talking to myself, even though I was clearly speaking to a friend! And etc, etc. I guess I'm glad I've never told anyone in person about how much I love Ran. Sorry for the rant but I trust you guys with my feelings... I-just...*sighs*.

I'm not sure what kind of "help" you are asking for. I mean, WHO thought that you were talking to Johnny on the phone, and why? Did you deliberately act like you were, just messing with them, or what? I can understand how you feel, though. No one in my family knows what Randall means to me, either. It's just not something I discuss with them. They have their lives that are separate from mine, same with my friends. We all live in rooms that no one else may enter.

I'm just really confused because ALL my friends/family get to have fun obsessions but I somehow can't! It's immature to them. What I mean by Johnny is that people think he's my invisible friend even though I know that's not it... My family thinks I can't grasp reality. Oh well. I'm just ranting anyway.

What I mean by Johnny is that people think he's my invisible friend even though I know that's not it... My family thinks I can't grasp reality. Oh well. I'm just ranting anyway. Ah, I see. Here's how I dealt with that, several years ago, when my father said something negative about my fondness for animated movies and tv shows. I told him that I wouldn't say anything about HIS obsession with "chick flicks", if he didn't say anything about me liking animation. He agreed, and we've both kept that promise. Do you do anything to make your family think that you can't grasp reality, like actually talking out loud to "invisible Johnny"? Maybe that's the problem, right there. It's one thing to talk ABOUT a fictional character a lot, but when you act like they are really THERE, with YOU, talking to YOU, that is gonna raise some concerns. YOU might know and understand that they aren't really there, but if you act otherwise, like you don't know, when people can only go by what they see. Talk with them, though, about why they have a problem with your "fun obsession", and about what you are perceiving as THEIR "fun obsessions", why one is different from the other. pitbulllady
