I know this is a bit of an old thread but I just noticed it. I thought I should say something on this because coincidentally we were discussing House Centipedes at my volunteer job today. I volunteer at my Local Biological Records Centre and I just submitted a record of a House Centipede I found in my kitchen. It turns out they are very under recorded, I'm only the 3rd person to submit a record at my Record Centre, we know there are more than 3 House Centipedes in South-West England. I am now on a quest to find more, and hopefully get a photo. Good luck with getting a photo....I've taken a few pictures of some I have seen in my house despite the fact that they scare me. lol. Also I don't mind you bumping my old thread. This forum is not super active(it's always active but never with tons of people) so I know that personally I don't mind people reviving old threads.

Pity you're not in South-West England, the Record Centre would appreciate the photos. If you are a British person, whatever region you're in, your Local Record Centre would appreciate the record, if you can remember the date you saw them, they are under-recorded nationally.

Coincidence, I've lived in or near Bristol all my life. I just moved to Weston super Mare last March. I still go to Bristol every week for my voluntary job.
I found my centipede trapped in the bath this morning so I trapped it in a tub & I'll take a live specimen into the Record Centre tomorrow.

I went to Backwell School. Then did A Level Science and Diploma in Animal Management at Weston College. Definitely a small world.
