If this is a list of snakes and reptiles that are on the "good guys" side I can think of 3. Adder from 'The Animals of Farthing Wood' The Incredibly Deadly Viper from Lemony Snicket's 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' Master Viper from 'Kung Fu Panda' These are the only 'good' snakes I can think of. Many books do have good dragons.

There don't seem to be many reptile characters that are portrayed positively, unfortunately. Off the top of my head, the only one I can think of is Louis from The Princess and the Frog.

There was also Mama Odie's "Seeing Eye" snake from that same movie. And wasn't there a series of books about a society of owls, written for young adults, which featured snakes that lived in the owls' nests that ate bugs and helped teach the young owls? I can't remember the name of it offhand, though. Still, reptile characters portrayed in a positive light are rare in movies, on tv or in books, sadly. pitbulllady

Your probably thinking of "Guardians of Ga'Hoole". I've only seen the film, and yes, there was some sort of snake there that was essentially...a...nanny I guess of sorts to the young owls. Film's not half bad on the whole actually.

I remember seeing the book at one of our school book fairs a couple years ago or so, and was pleased that there were snakes in it that weren't depicted as evil, and it was based on a real biological symbiosis between Blind Snakes and Eastern Screech Owls, with owls providing a home and protection for the snakes from other predators and the snakes eating parasitic insects that would feed on the owlets' blood. pitbulllady

I'll have to read that book now, or at least watch the film. I just thought of another one, Kaa in Rudyard Kipling's original 1894 Jungle Book (and his 1895 sequel). Kaa is one of Mowgli's friends and mentors. (The Disney version took great liberties with the plot and characters.)

Pretty much all of the reptiles in 'Rango' accept one which im not gonna say because if you haven't seen it, it would ruin the whole movie.
There are some reptiles in Rescuers down under that are portrayed in a good light. The little frilled dragon i think his name was Frank.
Also Rapunzels little chameleon in tangled.
The alligator in all dogs go to heaven, he saves the day in the end kind of
Also a film that looks on snakes positively: Kill Bill with 'the deadly viper assassination squad' a snake also helps to kill of a bad guy so i guess they could be considered on the good guys side.... if you can call it a good guy side lol
Maybe even Jurassic park/lost world i mean Dinosaurs aren't lizards but the vast majority of people still think they are and both movies promote respect to the animals and their intelligence.

My movie collection is pretty much entirely made up of Disney/Pixar animations and Quentin Taratino flicks. Kind of an odd mix, but I love them both!

OMF yes whats your fave Tarantino movie? i know its a hard question. do you have tumblr? It's hard for me to decide between Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill Vol. 1, but if I have to choose just one, I'll go with Reservoir Dogs, if only for Steve Buscemi. <3 I've actually been thinking about getting a tumblr, but truth be told, I'm not sure what exactly I'd do with it...I certainly don't have any art to post, since I can't draw to save my life. And I'm kind of an internet Luddite in some regards; this and Fanfiction.net are pretty much the only sites I post on. So yeah, I'm really not sure what I'd do there...what do you recommend?
