Well, you all know that I'm freakishly obsessed with World of Color in which I think is the best-water-show-I've-ever-seen-but-mad-because-MOST-little-kids-don't-know-any-Fantasia-parts-and-may-be-on-the-verge-of-deletion-which-I-would-be-ENRAGED-about.... forget it. Anyway, I created this World of Color tribute to it last night, and I guess it's okay... -ish. Just okay. www.worldofcolorcreator.com/Media.aspx?key=05B1447DF6F0148D&type=doc&ctx=

I'm having some problems viewing what you posted, it gave me a message about how I need to be logged in to view it. Uh....okay? If you don't mind me asking, what does all of this mean?

It's alright. *sigh* Sorry, I have issues... what it means is that last time I went to see World of Color and the Spring Sprite portion came up, I overheard a lot of people asking, "Who is SHE?" or "What is THAT?". Now, what Disney can do with World of Color is that they can omit parts and replace them with new segments. Since the Pines of Rome, Firebird Suite, and Night on Bald Mountain sequences are not known to these so-called "Disney fans that claim to know every film *cough* *cough* Jonas Brothers and Disney Channel" *cough* *cough*, it could be on the verge of deletion. I really think that all the Fantasia parts deserve to stay on. They are works of divine art. HECK! I literally CHEERED AND YELLED on all the Fantasia parts! ... which I think I made a scene of... XD Still, I would get mad if they omit these beautiful parts. This is just MY opinion.

Well, while I'm not disagreeing with you, when comparing Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 to the rest of the Disney films, I'm actually not surprised that very few know who or what they were looking at. These two films in particular aren't as well known nor are they remembered due to the fact that techinically, you're watching simple story sequences to music alone, not a whole movie with a plot. I could understand them doing something a little different with each showing that way it wouldn't be the same old, same old everytime you went but unless they plan to only make changes with this attraction every year...well, don't know what else to say...it still would have been nice if they would have put just a little bit of TNBC in there though.

Yeah, because the Fantasia films were known to be failures. Yes, Walt Disney's Fantasia in 1940 was a failure, critically and financially. He was upset about it all his life. For one main thing, it was a film that he put his heart and soul in. It was a project that he really loved to make because he wanted to show the public that music is not JUST music, but a way to imagine a story within it, which made Fantasia. But... no one was satisfied. See, the old Fantasia was criticized as "too long" or "too early for its time", whereas Fantasia 2000 was criticized that it "should be like the original" and that it "wasn't as good as the original". People CANNOT be satisfied at all. And your TNBC idea sounds good. Maybe they'll think about it.

I personally don't see the original Fantasia as a failure, just more of something that was ahead of it's time. I did see Fantasia 2000 when it was in theaters and I thought it was very well done, I would have loved seeing it in IMAX but the closest IMAX theater from where I live is in San Antonio.
One good part from TNBC that would be perfect for that show is the whole sequence during "What's This?" The colors and scenery of Christmas Town would do very well in that show. ;D
