I ended up signing up for an account on there around the time of my website dillemma only to find out that FF.net has even more rules for you to review AFTER you sign up for an account! Holy crap, are they that afraid of getting sued or what, I looked the rules over, there isn't one fic that I've written that wouldn't be breaking a rule on there and I can't guarantee that any future stuff wouldn't either...and apparantly I found out that FF.net doesn't allow ANY mature rated stories...how in the hell is that considering that they have erotica! I have read erotica both relatiing to the Sonic and TNBC fandom, I know it's on there, maybe not as descriptive as an adult fiction site but it's still there...is there a reason for their f*cked up rules?

FF.net still has the "M" rating available for stories, so I don't see how they can say that don't allow "Mature" stories. And, like you said, they DO have erotic stories and plenty of outright PORN. I honestly don't think that they even "police" their own site at all, or respond to complaints. There is a horrific porn-spam-troll fic in the "Foster's Home" section that' been there for the past three years; if it does get taken down, the "writer" just puts it back up again, not even bothering to change the title or his/her user name, and it stays. EVERYONE has filed complaints against it, yet nothing has been done. I really doubt that there's much you could post on there that would get you in trouble, or get you kicked off the site, honestly. Their rules state that you have to be at least 13 to post, yet I've known many users who ADMITTED only being 10(like our dear Soul-Sis and her friends) at the time they joined and posted not only stories(I use that term loosely) but participated in forum discussions. On DA, that would get you banned for life, but no one does anything or follows up on any reported violations on FF.net. I honestly don't think that they have real people working for them, just "bots".

I decided to re-read through the rules again and take a chance. I ended up posting my MI fic on there and so far, I believe that I've been notified of one person adding my story to a watch list which I guess is better than nothing. Whether or not I'll try and post other stories besides that one is something I still haven't decided on yet.

I tried fanfiction.net, but then my self esteem got the best of me then I just joined DeviantART.com instead. Yes, I know that a lot of my litworks are contributing to the massive amount of spam, but then all the rules scared me off.
I do not like irrelevant rules, or exessive boundaries. Those kinds make me feel cornered, or watched, which is just wrong D:
