Okaaayyy... So I was at Barnes and Noble tonight, searching in the children's section (because that's just me)...and I found a book about D is n e y villains; guess who was in it? RANDALL!!! Guess who wasn't in it? WATERNOOSE!! What's wrong with these simple-minded fools and their Boggs-bashing?! I tossed the book back on the shelf and felt irritated about all the poor kids who're being told Randall's a bad guy. And at the people who wrote it, who stick him in there because he looks menacing in that picture they always use of him, while ignoring the real villain of the movie and the reason for Randall's actions. Grr.

Yeah- they often do that since no one usually has problems with the other Disney Villains, so I guess they think villain fans would think he's a big meanie or something ... I'm a villain fan, but I never thought of Randall as one.
Okay, at one point, but then I figured- A guy with that set of teeth shouldn't let people boss them around. At least put up a fight, and he didn't make much of a fight. I dunno- maybe he was defenseless ... but he has to be one of my most favorite GOOD guys.
Meaning, I place him in a category of favorites like Clopin, Timon, Lumiere, Mushu, Sebastian, Pleakley, Kronk, and Bagheera. How's that for a good guy? ^__^ ;D hehe
Though, Waternoose ... I thought he was a jerk. Plus I have a *small* fear of spiders and he reminds me of one. And he's like, so nice at first and then really evil ... I don't like that ... it reminds me of the Queen of Hearts, and she used to give me nightmares O__O;;

Yeah...Waternoose really tricks you...he seems like a nice old grandfatherly type who cares a lot about his business, and then wham!--you find out he's the bad guy. I LOOVE those others in your category of characters--especially Lumiere, Sebastian, Kronk, and Bagheera. I think they are on the same level as Randall. I do love certain villains...I'm just sick of them classifying Randall as one..."he cheated his way to the top," the book says, without a mention of Waternoose and his child-napping scheme. *sigh* It's really typical. I shouldn't have been surprised.

What the hell?! Cheated? Since when did he even cheat at all? How STUPID are these people that wrote that stupid book?! Didn't they get the idea that the reason Randall laughed out loud when Mike said that he was cheating was because he had no idea what was actually going on?! AAAARGGGGHH!!!!

It totally p****s me off when people call Randall a "villain", ESPECIALLY when they make no mention of Waternoose at all, or just say the he's the CEO of the company, but don't bring up anything about HIS involvement in the evil plot. On the "DisneySites" forums, there was a thread about the most shocking plot twist in a Disney or Disney-related movie, and several people noted that for them, it was finding out that Waternoose was this evil corporate b*****d who'd be willing to commit murder(or force someone to do it for him)and use people to achieve his selfish goals. THAT sort of person is a far more dangerous enemy than someone who is just openly unpleasant, since they can so easily catch you off-guard, but then, that is often how they rise to power in the first place.
It also gripes me to no end that people still insist that Randall was "cheating". HOW could he have been cheating if the screams collected via the test run on the Scream Extractor would NOT count towards his Scare Total? Does anyone think that Waternoose would have ALLOWED him to do to make them count if it meant he'd beat Sulley, who was Waternoose's favorite employee and friend? None of that makes any sense whatsoever, and like someone else said, the only reason "cheating" was ever associated with Randall is because that idiot Mike thought that's what he was doing. No wonder Randall got so upset when he was accused of cheating-he nearly spilled the beans right there, but thought better of it and took the blame for something he wasn't even doing. I still think that the main reason Randall is so villified is because he's reptilian. IF he'd been furry, he never would have been singled out as the "bad guy". Considering those teeth of his, he COULD have been much worse, indeed, yet apparently he is a pushover and does let people take advantage of him. Then again, that's a sure sign of low self-esteem.

I just hate it when people say something about Randall that just isn't true. I mean, whoever wrote that book surely must've watched the film beforehand? And if they had, why couldn't they pay attention whilst watching the film? Or are they that stupid that they still think Randall was cheating?

Really give you the feeling that not ALL books are right doesn't it?
Humans are "mostly" arrogance..... They don't care about facts.
They only care about putting the blame on a sole person. Anything with scales or looks scarey or who shows the FIRST sign of being "evil" is considered the villain.
Hey everyone. Work like that is Yellow Journalism on Randall. I don't CARE if it is published.
Yeah. Randall is apalled when Wazowski said he was cheating. What other reason did he have to be mad at the point? Randall had NEVER cheated in his scaring career! On the contray. When he was first working, he put in overtime to WORK for his position.
SULLIVAN'S THE CHEATER!!!!! NOT RANDALL YOU IDIOTS! OPEN THOSE EYES OF YOURSE AND SEE THE BLOODY TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pitful. Once Past Stories Series finds it's way into Publication, people'll learn the truth.
Ignorant bafoons. What knowledge could they possibly possess...... Not a question, a certainty.
They skimmed it Cool. Those idiots.....
Yellow Journalism everywhere...

The authors DEFINITELY need to get their facts straight. Because they're fools if they really believe lies like "Randall was cheating." It's almost as if they didn't see the movie! How obvious was it after W aternoose was found out that HE was the one to blame? That Randall never cheated and doesn't deserve to have lies perpetuated about life? And had Randall been cute and fuzzy, people would almost certainly have had more sympathy for him. They're just disgusting...grr. Poor Randall...he let himself get used and now he ends up taking all the blame for things he didn't even do! He was always the hardest worker of all. Stinking Sullivan...

Another thing that gets me.... People blame RANDALL for letting the kid in!!!!!!!!!
Sullivan was the one that brought her in!
And don't say anything about Randall leaving the door open either. Apparently, you CAN'T open the from the inside (meaning if a child opened the door to the when it was active on the Scare Floor, it would just show the child's closet)

You know the saying "respect other's opinions". Well the fact is, you CAN'T with these people.
They don't even care to look at it in Randall's shoes, well feet....
It's like To Kill A Mocking Bird's theme. "You can't judge a person till you get into their shoes and walk a mile in their life"

Right...because what they're saying is, for the most part, not even an opinion. It's a flat-out falsehood!
