Hold on, hold on people! I saw Monsters INC. on ice, and I liked it. What I didn't liked is when Randall was banished and being beaten up by that mad lady! His screams cut through me and I almost cried. But the audience was too deaf to hear those cries of pain, and they cheered. THEY CHEERED! Can you believe that?! Disgusting, ignorant, lousy fools....cheering?! I would've been sickened...

"Lower your flags and march straight back to England, stopping at every home to beg forgiveness for a hundred years - *four years of spitting and jeering* - Do this and your men shall live. Do it not, and every one of you will die today!"

We need some sort of uniform. Purple kilts and facepaint? Must haves!
Scum of the Earth...they have scorned us for too long!

MY family tartan is predominatly dark green, with a light green, a blue, and a reddish-orange stripe in the pattern. I DID see the Bogg's tartan somewhere, and interestingly enough, there IS a purple stripe in it!
Some of my students went to see "Monsters On Ice" when it was in Columbia, SC, back in April, and for some of them this was their first exposure to the characters other than my Randall fan art. They were quite upset at Randall's treatment, and one girl got REALLY mad and figured out on her own that Randall was treated badly because he was different. She noticed right off the bat that he was the only monster who was scaly, and realized that this alone would have made others treat him as inferior, which in turn would result in his attitude being so unpleasant. Another student kept insisting that Randall was "mean"(she HAD seen the movie), but the next week she came in and told me that when she told her mother about the Art teacher liking Randall so much, her mother agreed with ME! Her mother, who drives a bus for the Pee Dee Regional Transit Authority, felt a "kinship' with Randall because, like him, she has to put up with unfair treatment from her superior, and because in THAT company's "Employee of the Month" competition, the same guy, who is also a cousin of one of the company's board members, keeps getting that award month after month, even though he's been involved in TWO minor traffic accidents while on the job!
What I've found is that younger children, say between the ages of six and fourteen, usually understand and relate to Randall, as do many adults who have to struggle at their jobs and who have experienced unfair treatment. People who hate Randall, and think he's "evil", on the other hand, are usually teens and young adults who have never had to work for a living, and who don't have a close rapport with their working parents or other family members, so that they cannot even associate those family members' situations with Randall's. If I remind them that Waternoose ordered Randall to do all those bad things, such as kill Sullivan and Wazowski, they always say things like, "well, I'D never do anything like that just because somebody told me to..I would just quit and get another job!", so you can tell that they have no clue as to the realities of working for a living, the importance of a paycheck, or how difficult it is to find a new job if you get fired from your last one!

I guess I fall into that category! Fourteen next month! lol.... so young and foolish. I totally agree, PitbullLady. I mean, personally I've been discriminated against because of personal bias *this "higher authority" just detested me* and know what it's like to be so close to tasting victory and have it swiped away by someone who doesn't deserve it. My my, these kids certainly sound smart! You spoke about a Waternoose - like boss on IMDB, did you not?

I fall into that category too! ;D
And yeah, when someone who has more 'power' and 'authority' than you has a dislike for you, it seems as though there's nothing you can do about it but grin and bear it- my art teacher despises me and my friend, though I have no idea why, and so will punish us for the most ridiculous of things.

Woo! Let's get sewing those tartans! Unsheath your solds, gentlemen and gentlewomen! Today we go to war! *hehe young'uns get the back lines! Lucky for us, Lizard Girl! * How old are you anyways? You sound very mature in your posts! ;D You've never had an undoubtedly biased teacher, Sean? Lucky... As classic as it sounds "My teacher hates me" is not as overused as one may think. Sometimes they make it so blatantly obvious. Some are just immature and unprofessional and act like children, taking every opportunity to give you a kick for something. -Lauren ;D Vive La Rance! *....Randall cross France...*
