Hey, not sure if there are any anime fans other than myself but I have a basic question. Has anybody seen or heard of the anime called Princess Resurrection and if so, is it any good? Reason why I'm asking is because at our Best Buy, they are selling vol 1 + 2 of the series but that's all there is, these two volumes have the whole series on them. It looks interesting to me since I am into dark and goth like anime/manga such as Godchild, Model, Ergo Proxy just to name a few. My only way of watching anime is what shows on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim or somehow trying to find a website that shows episodes for free which I have a hard problem finding, the site I use to watch Rozen Maiden doesn't have this particular series on it. I would really like to know what you guys think about it, I really want to get this series but since the dvds cost about $30-$40 dollars, wanna make sure that I get my money's worth, you know. So, is it good or what?

I've never heard of it myself, but you could watch a few episodes on YouTube. Always watch a little bit of an anime before you buy it because, yes, it is always expensive. You could actually find it online cheaper, if you wished. My boyfriend recently bought the whole series of Wolf's Rain for $30 new online. One DVD, only 5 episodes, in stores will cost you $30. So yeah, online is good.
I think an anime/manga that you would like very much is one called Vampire Princess Miyu. It's my best friend's favorite. You probably won't be able to find the anime in stores because it was never dubbed in English, but you can find it online.

Well, I've watched the show's opening on Youtube although I'm having a hard time seeing some episodes at all since Youtube gets real strict with copy right. I looked it up on Wikipedia though, it actually does sound interesting. As for the episodes, the whole series is on two dvd sets. According to the back of the dvd cases, volume one has the first thirteen episodes and volume two has the last thirteen so it was a very short series although it's manga series is still ongoing although I haven't seen it in stores though. Hmm, I'll try to surf the net about that Vampire Princess Miyu though, thanks.

Hmm, you could always risk it. Especially since it has a good amount of episodes on one disk. Tell me how it is if you ever do decide to get it.
I think you would also like a manga called Elfen Lied. It's graphic, but good, although I don't recommend the anime. While the manga was a little over 100 chapters and got really deep into the story and characters, the anime only had 13 episodes and focused mainly on gore and fanservice.

Oh wait, one of my watchers did a line art piece where she did a depection of herself as a girl chained up. So that's where it's from. I tried asking her why she was chained up in the pic but since she doesn't speak english too well, she ended up misunderstanding me. Still, just thirteen episodes? Dang that's short!

Yeah, that would be Elfen Lied. I think the anime gives it a pretty bad name. Of course, my favorite character doesn't get developed AT ALL in the anime, so most people don't understand why he's my favorite. You can read it on Onemanga.com or any other manga site. It's not published in the U.S. for now.

I went ahead and bought both volumes of Princess Ressurrection, I figured that if it's peaking my interests this much, hell why not. ;D

Already saw volume one, the anime is actually pretty good although it was never dubbed in English so I have to do alot of reading but there's one thing I don't get. There are two characters known as Liza a half breed werewolf and Reiri a vampire and according to the anime, werewolves and vampires are enemies. I have seen this done before in other things too such as Twilight and Underworld to name a few examples. What I can't help but wonder is why are the two considered enemies? I just don't get it.
