I'm thinking of leaving this board for good once the video contest is over. For those who didn't read the "food-for-thought" thread, I seem to have deeply offended two certain members, at least one of whom will not accept my sincere PM apologies. RandallBoggs has already expressed his concerns about my leaving, which temporarily persuaded me to stay, but, unless I'm wrong, it seems everyone else, the two certain members in particular, couldn't care less. Guess I should've expected my online social life to be as awful as my offline one.

Hey! Don't leave us! Sometimes disagreements occur online that's all. If you need time off to collect yourself sure, but you honestly shouldn't feel you should leave completely or forever.

Thanks. Still, I'd rather wait for more input, especially from the two certain members.

Oh, I'd love you to stay. In my opinion, you've been a really great member to this board so far . I only looked in that thread when it first began and I think I made only about one post in there right near the start about how I liked the story, but no other subject, so I haven't seen the disagreement there . We all have our fair share of disagreements I'm sure, including me, I unfortunately have to say . I love reading your inputs in all the other threads that are on here . I do care.

The debates (fortunately I was only the BULK of the problem) start halfway through page 22, and continues until mentalguru's latest post.

Oh yes, I've just had a look through. Again, I would not worry about it . Yes, some of us are sensitive on specific subjects and that's fine because that makes us who we are. We're all human beings. I don't know if I'm helping you at all, but I'm trying too, even though I don't know exactly how you feel .

I really appreciate that you're trying, DinoGirl. Again, though, I'd rather wait for at least one of the main two's response, not that your posts don't mean anything to me.

Update for most of you (if this is alright, pitbulllady): just got a PM from pitbulllady. Evidently, you weren't as upset as I thought you'd be. I'll start to reconsider staying.

I have responded via PM, but I'll say it here: no harm done. The purpose of a forum/message board is to have discussions, and discussions and agreements are NOT necessarily the same thing! As I said, there are parts of this board, and pretty much every board I'm on, that I do not post in or bother reading, actually, since I either have no interest in the discussions/topics there, or don't know enough about them. That doesn't mean I have to leave the board, period. I don't post in the gaming threads here at the bottom of the forum's main page. I don't LIKE gaming. I have no interest in it, but leave the board because there are topics there I don't care for or subjects that don't interest me or that I'm clueless about? NO WAY. I'm sure if I posted my opinions of video gaming, it would offend so someone, in some capacity, since their opinions of that topic are clearly different from mine. If I'm not comfortable discussing a topic, I just stay away from that topic, just like I stay away from baseball games and golf courses. Just because a town has a baseball stadium or a country club doesn't mean I have to avoid the whole town, too. I'm not offended, by the way-it takes a LOT to really and trully offend ME, someone who has taught school in gang-ridden areas for 25 years! It bothers me a little bit that some have a differing OPINION(and we know what they say about opinions, right?)from mine on the topic of Randall being asexual or not, but there's a huge difference between simply disagreeing with someone and really being offended by what they say.

While working at my summer job, I gave it a bit of thought, and I made a decision.... ...I will stay. By the way, thanks for the advice, pitbulllady.

Glad your staying, everyone had different opionins if we had all the same, the world would be boring. I do admit that that's true. It's just that I don't like when opinions are so different that people hate each other about it, which I thought was the case here. Good thing I was wrong.

Like I've said, some people tend to get so into a topic they forget either who joins in...or what some people are ACTUALLY saying 0_-.... *chuckles* YOU don't game Pitbulllady? No wonder you become stressed sometimes ^_^ *taps head* Ran's straight of course. And certainly not a hermit... -------------- Glad you decided ^_^ ------------ One thing to remember is that most of us, especially those who have been here since the beginning, have had to be...errmm..."rough" in some topics (mostly on other boards) to defend Randall...so sometimes we unintentionally bring that in even when we don't mean to. Of course that's just as example ^_^
