OH! Sorry. Your comment for the Comic pages on deviant art. *folds arms* Hmm...if Pete WAS involved the most with how Pixar would be for BOOM!'s compilation...then it's sort of an expression of an "extra idea" Pixar has. Because if I recall, that's what Pixar intended for the comics (including rides at theme parks) to be, a sorta "dump for sequel ideas" (I mean lets think...would the plots for the OTHER Pixar comics be movie-sequel worthy?) WHICH other Pixar comics-the ones from BOOM, the ones from Disney Adventures, or what? The BOOM Incredibles comics have been out for some time, and while I haven't seen one personally(these aren't available in stores here), from what I've seen on Pixar Planet, they're very impressive, and could very well be "sequel-worthy", BUT this stil isn't Monsters, Inc.. There are no characters in The Incredibles that I really relate to and care about. I LIKE many of them, but there's a big difference in how I feel about, say, any of the Parrs and how I feel about Randall. I don't have to worry about the writers of The Incredibles comics really abusing a character that I really care about. pitbulllady

Boom.
*massages temple* PBL...if we're going to understand their intentions FOR a sequel, understanding how they might handle it for others. *folds arms* My POINT is...is that IF the other Pixar comics in BOOM! would be considered sequel-worthy, it would give us insight into if the M.I. comic will influence the movie. The closest point I can think of is Toy Story, since that is their next film. How it's plot relates to the comic, full-on or totally different, might give us insight to how they will handle M.I. If they copy the comics, it's just plan lazy and will further the thought that they will do the same for others.

I don't think that the BOOM comics are going to actually BE sequels, or made into sequels, for that matter, but their artist DOES indicate that they'll serve as a sort of lead-in or set-up for the sequel, sort of like the actual sequel would pick up where the comics leave off, or that the sequels will incorporate some of the storylines/elements from the comics, thought probably not the extent that someone who has NOT read the comics wouldn't be able to follow the sequel's plot. pitbulllady

Lead in huh?....*blinks* And the first issue is this August...and I doubt we'll see Ran in that one...unless each issue is about singular events.... Hmm... Well, yes, the FIRST issue IS the one with Randall in it. That's HIS tail on the cover art, and it was that particular comic that I inquired about. I'm not even sure if there will be more than one M.I. comic, actually, though there are more than one of some of the other Pixar movies, so there could be. If there ARE going to be multiple comics bases on M.I. only the first one has been actually written and illustrated at this point, so that's the only one the artist could answer about, but she left no doubt as to whether Randall was in it or how he'd be portrayed. pitbulllady

Well given that the BOOM comic Monsters Inc. had a #1 beside it, I think there are more coming. Afterall, it's just 26 pages. Hmm...but she MAY know how the full story goes but...*looks up* If Randall DOES appear in the first one...and these are all short, one-side stories than...than the chances of Randall getting banished/imprisioned/etc.....I think...have lowered...

The #1 was not in reference to the number of comics in that series, but to the number of cover designs she'd made for the first comic, before settling on that particular design. She also designed the one where a bunch of other monsters, including Sulley, and Boo, are giving Mike that suspicious look. pitbulllady

Actually I was looking at the roster on BOOM! comics, and it has a #1. That and they refer to the Cover as Cover A or Cover B. That, and I just checked the schedule and see: Cars: The Rookie # 3 (Cover A) Cars: The Rookie # 3 (Cover A) The Incredibles: Family Matters #3 (Cover A) Toy Story: The Mysterious Stranger #1 (Cover A) Toy Story: The Mysterious Stranger #1 (Cover B)
So in effect, this one coming out in August is the FIRST in a series. And if they're applying the same release rules for the M.I., there will be at least two more comics after the first one in August. *folds arms* Hmm...they're going fast on Cars and Incredibles...this means they have the stories finished for them and are working on completeing them as soon as possible instead of spreading it out....and the Cars and Incredibles comics still have the name from their first release, which means for M.I. that the comics coming AFTER the first one will still be the same story...
