Oui. Hm hm ^_^
Don't it? Heh ^_^ Snake has actually granted his higher worshipers the ability to stop their aging process...
True...did this sorta stretching thing...I honestly really didn't think it was a slug until it actually started moving.
It's a regretful fundamental of existence...especially when death is not caused naturally. Even the Grim Reaper shakes his head when he has to send souls on their way when honestly they could have lived more.

wow... very impressive! That neatly sorts out the whole 'cricket problem'... Does that come with longevity too? ^^
yep... I didn't say go out and start killing things did I? Only that death is fundamental and necessary to to keep the lifecylce rolling. If nothing died, we'd be hip-deep in old people and starving.

Hmm...well from what I recall...I think the power stops the aging process, or at least slows it dramatically. They say that one of the worst omens from Snake is that he ages the person dramtically till they atone, but doesn't reverse the process even if they do.
That is true, and a harsh reality to the situation. *looks up* Still...you can't help but think death is an easier process to do than life...

Ouch... that's wicked. I think that sort of thing was in a movie my dad told me about... the people of the future became so advaced that they figured out a way to stop aging at the graceful years (in drugform I think) and didn't have babies as a side-effect, but there weren't any jails. Instead the crimnals got aged as punishment, which is rather worse I think to live forever as a geezer. (theoritically, good behaviour would get years off but I don't think that was really part of the movie)
Yeah... full stop must be much easier than all this animation. And humans are really so fragile...

The Ninja Turtles. Could Gargoyles also be considered under this too? I think they are reptilian. I love those shows. I didn't like the season 3 of Gargoyles and the last two seasons of the TMNT 2003 Toon though (but LOVED Seasons 1-4 and 5 was okay too!) I also grew up with the old Ninja Turtles toon. It was shot in the 80s, but UK TV reran the old toon alot during the 90s actually. It's corny as hell of course. . In the NEWER toon, which is closer to the comics, Leatherhead is a good guy-a sentient alligator like the ninja turtles are... well sentient turtles. I like him. He is extremely intelligent and he's like a Donatello with rage issues. (A more extreme version of Raphael in that regard). But he's a good guy, it's because he's been under alot of pain and trauma and the turtles realise that- and he's their friend in the end. When I was small, my first cartoon crush was Leonardo in the old toon. (Oh be quiet, I wasn't the only one!)

MUCH of the world doesn't know turtles are reptilian...so in a mass...nobody really knows.

We got a few charming reptilian protagonist in Princess and the Frog. Louis the alligator and Mama Odie's adorable snake companion. I didn't catch his name.

I noticed that myself, and, to be brutally honest, I find that a VERY surprising turn for Disney, especially what with them being one of the major promoters of the idea that reptiles are evil in most of their other feature films, such as Monsters, Inc. (though WE know that Randall wasn't, the fact is, most DON'T know that).

I found it surprising as well. The reptiles in the movie could of easily been additional antagonist, like in past Disney movies. Instead they made them very innocent and lovable characters. I thought it was really nice and I knew some of you here would enjoy it as much as I did.

Another movie I need to go see...but back on topic here, I've got a couple of good reptiles and it's because of video games, Hot Topic, and little preschool television is how I know these. ;D
Espio the Chameleon and Vector the Crocodile from Sonic the hedgehog video games and comics, Isa the Iguana from the Dora the Explorer series and also in Go Diego Go, Diego has helped out a few reptiles from time to time. I remember three episodes in where he helped out some desert iguana, a sea turtle, and a anaconda. Also on the Skelanimals website, two of the skelanimal characters are reptiles who are called Cecil the snake and Pudge the turtle. Then there's the pokemon games, certain pokemon are reptile like in appearance such as Arbok, Kecleon, and Charmander to name a few.

Well, I'm not sure if you can count Arbok since he was considered a villain, even in the games Team Rocket used him often. But they did they with poison types in general.

While I can understand that, technically in the games since pokemon play the role of animals, pokemon despite the type of trainer that uses them, are not considered evil since they are simply following the commands of the trainer. Maybe a small few of pokemon within the anime series could be considered villains but in the case of Team Rocket, I don't quite consider this the case.
Another example I can use is this, in Sapphire and Ruby, the most common pokemon used by either Team Magma or Aqua is Poochyena and its evolved form Mightyena but does this make the pokemon a villain? I wouldn't think so because if that is the case then I would be considered a villain since in my Sapphire edition, my first catch was a Poochyena. I trained her until she evolved into Mightyena, she is actually one of my best pokemon on my Sapphire team.
As far as why Team Rocket tend to use poison types, it's probably just the type that they favor. Some trainers in the game and even other gamers are like that sometimes, they will only prefer to train pokemon of a particular type. It all depends on their preferences, that's all.

Yeah, and Arbok was the only snake Pokemon that seemed to be favored. And that's just mostly due to how TR loves poison types. Skuntank was my favorite Pokemon from Diamond/Pearl and it seemed to be Team Galactic AND it was one of the man villains in the new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game. There are just certain Pokemon that are picked as the "bad guys."

There are just certain Pokemon that are picked as the "bad guys." Sadly there is and some pokemon are hated in the anime series which makes no sense to me. One I know of for sure is Absol, I remember one episode my brother was watching in where a town tried to chase this pokemon away because they believed that it would cause the disasters that happened there. At the end of the episode, Ash made them realize that the pokemon appearing had nothing to do with the horrible things happening, the pokemon in fact was trying to warn them about the disasters. There's nothing about this in the games actually although the pokedex will say that it is called the doom pokemon if you catch one. This is another pokemon I have, a female once again. I never thought that a pokemon as interesting as Absol would be hated in the series, that's just bizarre to me.
