New chapter! And even more so, a new scene that wasn't in the movie ^_^ Deep in the bowels of the ship....enjoy ^_^ Chapter 3 Starboard Sub-Halls * "Hup!". Vee touched down at the base of the ladder, fists raised for any opposition, though a little disappointed to find none. Sean dropped down beside him while Randall came down, observing the area. The sub halls were vastly smaller than the one they had come from, but at least it was big enough to accomodate the three of them with some extra room. The halls, like the rest of the ship, were shinning silver metal reflecting any and all, the ceiling a darker shade, with one stripe of bright light running along inside it. Overhead were long thin boxes with a number and color on them, probably indicating where they were. There was at least one door nearby boardered in red and with a screen beside it, but it was currently locked. "Uhh..." Sean started, looking down the vast, seemingly endless hallway to the left and to the right. Randall rolled his eyes when he got to his feet. "You have NO idea...where the bridge is DO YOU?" he growled, though in no threatening way. Sean merely pulled a hand behind his head and gave a half-hearted chuckle. "Maybe we can ask one of the robots...". The two looked down at Vee, who was pointing down the hall. Hovering toward them at a relaxed pace. "Go for it" Randall chuckled, his slight aggrevation dropping as he leaned near the ladder. Vee rolled his eyes this time, coming in front of the robot's path. It halted when he impeeded it's route...but then it went horizontal to go around. Vee side-stepped, blocking it again. The robot went the other way, and Vee side-stepped again. Finally the robot whirred in annoyance. It looked like an R2 from Star Wars, but with a silver body and one large blue and white eye. And from slits in it's front protruded two rods with what looked to be patching lasers. "OK...." Vee said, disliking the little waltz. "Uhh hey" he said, waving. The robot seemed to blink it's eye. Sean was thinking of asking himself, but Vee was more qualified. "Uhh...you know where the bridge is?". The robot "wrrrrdd" a response. "How 'bout in english?". Again, same response. Vee held a fist to his head, squinting. "OK...". He flexed his arms. "How bout a MAP?". The robot seemed to understand the keyword, backing up and turning to the barren wall near the ladder. From it's eye, it projected a holographic map of the Axiom. "Nice work..." Sean said, looking over the map. Vee looked at Randall with a successful grin on his face, Randall was unnerved. "Uhh...oh...". He pointed at the high tower on top of the Axiom. "Custom dictates the highest part of the ship or the front is the bridge...hands down I'm going with the tower. "Oh brilliant...and we're lower..." Randall mumbled. "Not neccessarily..." Sean said, not taking his eyes off the map. "This ship is huge but it does have...other pathways and transportation we can use to get there quick...". He focused, looking down from the tower on the map. "....Ok...there's an emergany access pannel for matinence we can use that goes directly to the bridge lobby...". He pointed to his right. "It's that way...". The robot unintentionally cut off it's hologram, but they already had their info. "...It'll take us some jogging...but there's a railway that's nearby the robots use to get to the matinence tunnels..." Randall chuckled. "Lead on "captain"..." Vee padded the silver robot on it's..."shoulder". "Thinks bud...". The robot blinked, Sean and Randall already going down the hall, Vee followed. He turned around and waved a goodbye, starting along at a trot. The robot blinked again, looking down at it's rod lasers, motioning up and down with the servos, becoming interested in the motion known as "the wave". * "BLIZZARD!!" A bright white and blue sharded snowflake shot out, slamming into the blue forms of the Unbirth, slamming it against the wall. Sean ducked behind the large B&L disposal cube, breathing out as if the cold feeling of the spell hit him. The rail system was actually a large moving platform, where the robots moved cubes containing unknown items onto it for transport. It was ahead and to the right and left, the left platform had already left, so they were waiting on the right one. But on the path between them, the Unbirth had secured their positions, hijacking unsuspecting worker robots for use. "Well you DID want to lead them away" Randall growled beside him, noting the decision. "Well..." Sean started. "Nobody said weilding the keyblade would be easy..." Vee was across from them, behind a smaller block. "Yeah...and nobody said we'd be in a starship in space....". He paused. "Aside from the Gummi Ship I mean". The movement of distant hydraulics alerted them. It was the same sound the left platfrom made when it left, and now the other one was arriving for a fresh shipment. "Shoot...we gotta get on it..." Sean whispered loudly. "Oh yes...all we have to do is get through the swarming blue guys while that thing slowly takes us away..." Randall mumbled. Sean looked over at Vee. "Vee...if you can get on the platform...can you handle getting them off?" Vee blinked, thinking it over, something he was learning to do now. "Uhh...sure.." "Well...". Sean paused, showing up a thin card in his other hand, some sort of twin wing designs on it. "Ready to fly?" Vee chuckled. "THAT I am..." * It was quite a surprise for the Unbirth to see the once-grounded enemy of theirs to jump out from hiding and stay up in the air, suspended by large white wings extending seemingly out of nowhere. But they didn't have much time to gawk, though they weren't, as Vee charged down, smashing a fist into one, the momentum pushing it backward in a straight line, making others fall. He twisted, getting over to the platform as it aimed to secure itself to recieve the shipment. As Vee hovered and knocked back approaching Unbirth, Sean and Randall ran out from behind the disposal cube. Seeing that they were focused on Vee at the time, the Unbirth were distracted. With a side to side slash, Sean sent two Unbirths in respective directions, and they recieved immense shocking from the exposed electrical rails. Randall himself had turned on to the platform, whipping one Unbirth with his tail, and kicking another as he went over to the platform's control panel protruding from it's back. Sean got on the rim of the platform, targeting any nearing blue forms of the Unbirth, who aimed to both swipe at them and avoid the exposed rails, having seen what it caused to exposed individuals. "Get it working Ran!" Sean shouted over, though morely inscentive than an order. Randall mumbled to himself as he studied the panel. "Arrg...". He looked back, clear aggrevation on his face. "This thing is for use for one of the robots...and I can't hotwire it!" "What'll we do!?" Vee shouted, double kicking an Unbirth as it tried to jump at him. One Unbirth crossed arm and blade with Sean, trying to break his grip. "Errr! The...thing's...automatic!". He pushed, the Unbirth toppling over a cube. "We just have to wait for it to move!". He jumped back, twisting the Keyblade backwards and behind him, throwing it. Like a ninja star fused with a boomarang, the Keyblade shot out, sending out sparks and light as it spun with momentum, spinning and striking back all the Unbirth as the Keyblade returned to his hand. As if on the cue, the platform started to move. Sean lowered the Keyblade and Vee touched down beside him, wings dissapating. They started to disappear into the transversing tunnel, the Unbirth erieely watching as they left. "Phew...that Aero Card...gotta love it" Vee chuckled. Sean swung the Keyblade over his shoulder, seeing Ran laning against the control panel. The Unbirth may be soul stealers, but they were smarter than animals hungering for something...if they weren't, they would be following them. * The access panel leading to the bridge was of course, locked. But thanks to the Keyblade, it was a simple matter of pointing and the lock opened. Thankfully, the emergency path was a diagonal elevator leading upward, so the three waited for it to arrive, Sean sitting down with his arms crossed, Vee the same way, while Randall studied the real-time tracker screen on the rimming that indicated how close they were. "What are you thinking about?" Vee said, eying Sean suspeciously. Sean looked up, seeming to think at the time, hence the question. "Just about everything...nothing in particular..." Vee shrugged, leaning back and folding his arms behind his heead, looking up. "Hmm...boy...those humans were fat weren't they...". He saw Randall gurgle a spat of a laugh, but continued anyway. "But boy...with how big this ship is...there must be a million of them...how the heck are we suppose to get them out of here" Sean nodded. "That's one thought...the Gummi Ship can warp but...we can't use it to carry everyone...we'll need to think of something else...". Randall twisted around, placing his upper arms on the rim. "Even if we hijack the ship...WHERE would we take them?" Sean shook his head. "Definetly not anywhere outside this dimension..." "And it would take too long to find'em somewhere to live" Randall mumbled. Sean sighed, shaking his head. The lift started to slow, and the chim informed that they had arrived. "We'll have to think of that later...first...we warn the captain" * The lift opened up into a vast circular room, barren of everything except yet another elevator to the north and south, lights around the middle of the walls, and some sort of egg-like machine with a blackened cut and red eye "typing" on some keypad below it. Needless to say, when Sean and Vee stepped in, Randall being more silent, their steps echoed. Needless to say the machine looked up at them once, then went back to work. "Wow...this ship really IS huger inside..." Vee said, his voice also echoing. Randall was going to comment the word "huger" didn't exist, but his eyes were aimed at the machine. So far this experienced had been weird on him. The first time he saw Wall-e, he didn't outwardly think to much of it. But in fact... "Hey Randall you alright?". Sean padded him on the shoulder, and Randall realized he stopped in thought. "....Yes...fine". He rolled his eyes, padding over to the elevator with Vee. The three stopped in front of it, looking for some switch or something. "Ok...guess it's just like that bot in the hall" Sean said, looking over at the machine. It seemed to have take apparent interest in them, the red eye looking over at them. "Uhh...hi" he said with a half-grin, waving. The machine took even more interest in that, looking at it's own small tight arms formed like a T-Rex. With one, it tapped a switch and the door opened. Randall and Vee already went inside, wondering if the machine would have a change of mind. Sean got in and turned around, seeing the machine using it's stubby arms to simulate a wave. More or less is was kind of funny, even when the doors closed and the elevator made it's trip to the bridge...

Next part! This one includes perhaps my favorite funny scene ^0^ EOT ^0^ Chapter 4 The Bridge * "First things first...computer...status report". "Mechanical systems?" "Unchanged" "Reactor Core Temperature?" "Unchanged" "Passenger Count?" "....Changed" "Regenerati....huh? What? Passenger Count??" "Changed...by 1" "Oh...guess...someone had a baby I guess...anyway..." * The doors to the bridge opened, and it was quite a variable crew, and quite a sight. Their first notice was Eve herself, up and about. Her once blackened face now showed two blue eyes, and her arms were now visible, seeming to hover close to her as he whole body was. Randall pointed out the blinking round green symbol on her chest, which seemed to be designed as some sort of leaf. "Wow...if that's her...the bot's got some high goals" Randall grinned, thought it seemed less diminative and more as a compliment. "That's right that means it's time to go back home". Something man with an recorded voice was speaking somewhere off to the left, and the pulsing colors on the floor showed, and later their peeking, found out that some hologram was projecting a man that looked to be in some official position, up on a podium. Eve didn't seem to notice them, so they inched to see what was going on outside the elevator. A rather large man garbed in white with gold designs and a captains hat, was watching the screen with interest. He too, was on a hover-recliner. And beside him was some sort of black and white wheel, but it seemed rather complex design-wise to be just that. "Home? We're...going back?" the captain said in both amazement and stutter, looking at the wheel as if it was his first mate. "Now that Earth has been rstored to a life-substaining status..." the recorded man continued. "Earth?" Sean whispered, morely mouthing than speaking. "...by golly, we can begin Operation Recolonize" "Look!" Vee whispered, trying his lowest voicee as he pointed to the right of the screen. Randall moved beside him, peering into the darker section of the bridge. Wall-e, compacted, was inching away from the captain and the recording, picking up pace...that is before in a "wrong place" moment, he was stopped when the start of the circular controls jutted out a red book boardered in silver. The little robot thought fast, compacting and holding the book up with his metal hands, trying to disguise himself as the book's originator. Needless to say...fooled the captain. "It's moving..." Randall mouthed. The once stationary wheel, moved along with the captain, who picked up the book. It was moving around from a track on the birdge ceiling, and from the connections, it had to be some sort of robotic machine too. "Simply follow this manuel's instructions to place the plant..." started the recorded man. "Plant? What plant?" Vee wondered. Sean looked up at Eve. Took a rocket scientist to design Eve, but it didn't take one to know what the beeping green leaf on her chest was. "The plant Eve has..." he said, seeming to go into a state of concentration. "....in your ship's holo-detector". The three turned their attention to the screen, watching it's rather point-blank instruction. "And the Axiom will immediately navigate your return to Earth". "It's that easy!" The man then went on to explain the somewhat-awkward information of why it seemed everyone on the ship was large and somewhat flabby, needless to say it gave the party something else to concentrate on. Wall-e made his way over to Eve. "Eva!" he said. Needless to say, Eve wasn't expecting him at first, but when she looked at him again, she pushed him under the control console, seeming to warble him to stay under there. "Well...lets open her up" the captain's voice sounded. Sean, Randall and Vee backed up against the edges of the elevator. Sean looked down, thinking on what they've heard, and how ironic it seemed to be. "Step one....voice command "confirm acquisition"..." the captain continued. As if on cue, some female voice repeated the command. Something came from somewhere behind the elevator to the side, scanning around with a blue ray of light. It stopped at Eve and then on the rails above, followed over her. Holding her in place. Something long and thin shot out to the captain. "Voice authorization required". "Uh..." the captain started. "Uh..." repeated the device in his voice. "Accepted..." the voice said, the device retracting. The party watched as some thin pen started tapping seemingl invisible buttons on Eve's chest, another hand holding a tray in front of her. Sean leaned out a little from the elevator, watching. "This is it...if the Axiom gets back to Earth...we may be able to save everyone..." Anticipation seemed to grow from everyone, even those unsure of the events unfolding. Eve's chest glowed bright at seams, and then opened...revealing an empty array of silver and light, and he plant symbol in the center. "WHAT?" Sean nearly yelled before Randall clamped a hand over his mouth. Randall held his other upper hand to his mouth with one finger, signfying they shouldn't get involved just yet. But...there was no plant. Eve panicked, seeming to dictate she really did have a plant at some point, while the captain and the wheel went to the side, discussing if they had missed something. Eve turned to Wall-e, spanning him over as if he had it, which wasn't too farfetched considering they were both on Earth. Urgently, the two started searching for it. On instance of the captain's voice, Eve returned to the green aura the holding machine had. The wheel came over, scanning Eve in red light. "Contains no specimen...probe's memory is faulty..." "So then..." the captain started, seeming dissapointed. "We're not going to Earth?" "Negative" the wheel replied. "I guess things go back to normal, huh?" "Correct captain" The captain paused, then slammed the book shut. "WELL! False alarm" he said, dissapointment seemingly gone. The machine that held Eve went away, and the darkness of the room lifted as the once metal walls rose to reveal the classic view that those on the bridge were given. "Probe must be defective..." the captain noted. Eve seemed to sigh in frustration at the claim. "GO-4..." the captain called. The little hovering robot with a siren top, the same one that was in the hanger, took the order. "Take her to the Robot Repair Ward and have them run diagonstics on her...make sure she's not...". Go-4 encased Eve in a harmless red ray, using it as a sort of "cage" to carry Eve. No sooner had he than was Wall-e in full view of the wheel and the Captain. "AH!!" the captain yelled. "Shoot...he's in trouble!" Sean yelled. "Sean! WAIT!". Sean flew out of the elevator, also in full view of the Captain and the wheel, holding his arms out in between them and Wall-e. Needless to say, the Captain was surprised again, his hover-recliner backing up. A long silence followed, till Sean realized the little folly. "Uhh...". He relaxed his position, looking at the Captain. Calling up what gullibility the Captain might have, Sean straightened, raising a hand to his head. "Uhh...salutations captain!" he saluted. From inside the elevator, Randall slapped a palm to his head. The Captain blinked, looking over the much thinner human. "Uhh...at...ease..". Sean lowered his hand slowly. Boy...he was not expecting this... "Captain! I am...part of..." he paused. "...Earth Observation Team!". The Captain blinked, but seemed more interested. "The...EOT!" "More like EDOT..." Randall mumbled, his hand going to his head again. "YES! The EOT...and we have come to inform that the Earth can indeed be made liveable again!" The Captain lowered his arms, looking down at the manual. "Are...you in the manual?" Sean blinked, then shrugged. "Uhh...maybe...". He lowered his arms and nodded. "It's been a LONG while since we updated the book..". "What is he talking about?" Vee whispered. Randall lowered himself, arms behind his back, all four, a grin on his face. "Clever...the ship's probably been out here for decades..." Sean continued. "Anyway Captain...uhhh...". He turned, Wall-e looking up at him. "Wall-e here is with our group...as well as...". He turned to the elevator, getting a grin on his face. "Oh heck no...he isn't thinking of..." Vee started...that is before Sean grabbed one of his "ears" and dragged him out. "THIS...is my Virtual...Extension Evaluator...or Vee for short...". The Captain looked Vee over, the "uhh" expression seemingly plastered on his face. Sean came over behind Vee's hesitated body, and placed his hands on his shoulders. "He uhh...looks over what mechanical...stuff is still on Earth...". "AND!...". Sean leaned into the elevator, but Randall dodged when he tried to grab him, decided to just come out. Randall folded his arms, sighing at what he was about to say. "Registry...AI Network Directory LAN...". He paused, thinking of other computer jargan that started with L that made sense. "I...just call him Randall...they're uhh...both robotic of course...we like them to look more...alive since it's kinda lonely on Earth and what not" Sean said with a half hearted grin, standing between them. The long silence started again...the Captain looking to the wheel then at them. "Uhh...and what are you doing on my bridge?" "Good question" Randall mumbled, looking at Sean. "Thanks Ran..." Sean mumbled in thought, stepping forward. "Captain...we...tracted the signal of the probe to the Axiom...and are here to assist you in recovery of the specimen..." "There is no specimen..." the wheel quickly replied, getting the Captain's attention. "Hold on Auto..." the captain started, the wheel taking a "step" back. He looked back at the three. "Well...there was no plant...". He turned his hoverchair to the stretcher, Eve upright on it...along with Wall-e who seemed to have skitted over. "And taking her to the repair ward...and guess...get that one cleaned..." he said, pointing to Wall-e. "Right...but...if we find the plant?" Sean asked, another step forward. The Captain turned back. "Well if we find it....". He looked back at the book. "I guess we...pick up from there...". He looked up. "Till then...things go back to normal...". Sean looked down. All they had to do was find the plant... "OH!". He looked up. "Captain! There's something else you need to know!" "Hmm?" "The Axiom...YOUR ship...has hostiles aboard!" "H...ostiles?" the Captain blinked. "Uhh...bad...things..." The wheel, Auto, seemed to intergect, coming ahead of the Captain. "Captain...I have not recognized any threat onboard the Axiom. Sean eyed the wheel. "How...?" he whispered. The Captain gave a confirmative huff. "Well...if Auto hasn't picked up anything and I haven't seen anything...then I guess these "hostils" are just something your EOT guys aren't use to...". He waved a hand. "So...I guess...welcome to the Axiom...and if you do happen to find the plant...report straight to me". "Sir!" Sean and Vee said simutaniously, saluting. Randall, on the other hand, just swrived and gave a "you guys look so stupid" face. Sean noticed the stretcher with Wall-e and Eve heading to the elevator. "Uhh...Captain...we wish to accompany the probe...maybe...figure out what's wrong ourselves..." "Alright then..." the Captain said, yawning. "Thank you sir...". The three followed the stretcher into the elevator, Sean pausing at the doors, turning to look at Auto. The wheel starred at him with it's single red eye. Sean thought back to some old film he'd seen...some machine with such a red eye...and it turned out it wasn't on the crew's side. He looked at the Captain. "Don't worry Captain...the Axiom will return to Earth...". He went in, the doors closing behind him. *

Whoo hoo! A lot in this chapter ^0^ Reason why is an interesting fight ^_^ I had the idea come to me when thinking on Unbirth methods and mannerisms...and I think it's a good prediction. The fight is in the ward and I'm proud of how it turned out...enjoy ^_^ Chapter 5 Robot Repair Ward * The party followed Wall-e and Eve's hovering stretcher with one of their own, passing through the brightly colored hallways of the ship. They seemed to be in a section of the ship populated by robots, as no human was seen nearby. Although it wouldn't occur to anyone else, made the area somewhat dangerous... Sean kept his eyes on the transport ahead of them, Vee observing the few but various robots buzzing around, along with Randall. "Wow...there's so many of them..." Vee said, resisting the urge to observe one at a far less speed. He looked over at Randall, who was a bit awkward with the little space on the stretcher. "Why aren't YOU interested? Your suppose to be the technical guy...". Randall blinked, noticing Sean looked back at the comment. He sighed, looking away. "I've invented here and there in my spare time...but I admit I never made things like this" he said, gesturing to the robots going leftward along the travel line. He folded his arms, all four. "When I make one...I'll be interested". Vee was about to ask for some clariffication on the matter, but Sean waved a hand. They were coming up to the ward. They turned a corner, slowing along with Wall-e and Eve's stretcher. They came to a wide blue door with a white mark. "Uhh...anyone know how to read Japanese?" Sean asked, looking back. Randall shrugged, but Vee rose his hand. Four lights above the door shinned green, and a ding later, the doors slid open to reveal an oval opening. In a row along the left and right were what looked like holding cages, black floor panels that had the blue forcefields around, holding in several types of....well for lack of a better term...."sick" robots. Ranging from jumping, large fisted bots, to spitting grooming machines. Ahead, something was observing Eve and Wall-e. Eve was lifted up and drawn further in, Wall-e avoiding the initative treatement, rolled off to the side and started in. When the party's stretcher approached, the oval section must have noted them being non-mechanical, and it let them off without the robo-treatment, the doors closing behind them. * It looked like the Ward had it's hands full. Nearly every containment unit occupied some malfunctioning robot. Randall pushed some floating pink robot out of his face, which then proceeded to assault Vee with lipstick and powder, needless to say Vee intentionally wacked the robot back, though it seemed unhurt as he dusted the powder off. The three moved off to the side, watching as Wall-e, who was less than fortunate with the beauty making machine, being carried off by a claw and putting him in an empty containment unit, the forcefield walls coming up. They quickly moved to the other side when some tennis robot was lobbing balls at them. Eve, meanwhile, was being transported to the back of the room, which opened up into another, circular room that seemed to contain the repair area. "Guess we just wait huh?" Randall said, folding his arms, and leaning against the wall. "Guess so..." Sean replied, looking over the robots. Strangely enough, it was quite weird that they all seemed like patients in a waiting room, which they were, but in the common sense. But in that sense, Sean found himself smiling that they all seemed to have more personality, though Wall-e seemed to have more. "Put on your sunday clothes there's lots of world out there!" The sound of music, not the movie, started playing from somewhere, calling everyone's attention. "There!" Vee pointed. Wall-e, out of a containment unit, was rolling to the back, and crashed through the doors as if they were paper. "What is he doing!?" Randall yelled, surprising Sean and Vee, but unsure why. "HIT THE DECK!". Within the short time, something shot out from the repair section, a white and very light blue plasma clip. Time seemed to slow. Sean sprang forward, getting low as the clip went over him. Randall grabbed Vee, surprisingly, getting low, grabbing Sean, and skitting them all as far from where the clip was going. Sure enough, the shot hit a mark, some mechanical system, causing sparks and a bright flash to engulf all eyes, normal and mechanical alike, to blink. Thankfully, the impact was less explosive than they thought, guessing something from the ship lowered it's effectiveness. Sean looked back first, the blast had only blew a hole in some mechanical system. "Vee? You ok?" he said, looking back. Vee nodded, getting out from one of Randall's arms. "Ran?" he immediately said after confirming. Randall murmured something in his throat, looking up and directing his glance at Wall-e, the robot's goggle eyes lowered and one of his mechanical hands reaching to stop the music that had played. Needless to say, Eve did the job for him. "WALL-E!" she yelled. Sean looked back. Seemed the little box the plasma burst destroyed was more than it seemed. Suddenly, the mechanical arms in the ceiling went limp. And then...the doors opened. He didn't expect to see anything at all outside...but he was wrong. The doors slid open, and as the dark parted, it revealed several blue tinted, red-eyed Unbirth. Some were looking back, but turned when the light changed an the sounds and "wrrs" from the robots alerted them. "Oh...crud..." Sean mouthed. The forcefields holding the robots also fell...and the robots fell victim as well. As the three got to their feet, several Unbirth took the offensive, jumping at the robots and integrating themselves into their malfunctioning circuits. Sean called the Keyblade, Wall-e and Eve coming up near them. Eve pulled her plasma cannon arm back, scolding Wall-e once to alert it was his mistake. With five against...several. "LET THEM GO!" * It took time for the Unbirths to integrate into the machines, and some remained in their pure state, and that's who they went after first. Three of the charged forward, and Sean, Vee, and Randall met for their match...that is before a plasma bullet shot out, obliterating the middle one. Sean glanced back, Eve's plasma cannon on and open, she gave a confirmative nod that she had them covered. With a relived sigh that Eve knew they weren't a theat, but the Unbirth were, he tagged the first Unbirth with the tip of the Keyblade, juggling it in the air as Randall leaped, grabbing it with all four hands and slamming it down as Vee bashed a fist into the other one. One sprinted past them, but Eve bulls-eyed it. Four more charged. One did a swift side-to-side swipe as it approached, slicing Sean's leg, another one copying the motion and getting Vee's arm. One aimed to stab at Randall at the spine, but Eve pinned it, but she quickly tried to aim at the one that attacked Vee, which had passed him and aiming for him. Wall-e noticed immediately, parting his eyes to shoot out his cutting laser. It partially damaged it, but it distracted the Unbirth enough for Eve to zap it. Sean twisted around, slamming the Keyblade into his attacker, and dug in his pocket with another hand. "Vee!". In the twist, he tossed a bluish Potion in his direction, Vee grabbing and downing it in split seconds. Vee returned the favor, dashing forward and slide-kicking the Unbirth into oblivion. Randall was dodging the last one, on his hind legs, the Unbirth's dagger arms swiping wind as fast as Randall moved. Looking for an opening, the Unbirth thrusted forward with both arms. Randall quickly swirved back, then forward, grabbing the Unbirth with all arms, and then rolling, the Unbirth going with him. He threw it up and backflipped, his tail smashing into the blue soul stealer, sending it backward and into the waiting bat-style swing of the Keyblade, obliterating it. "That's those..." Sean whispered, looking at the malfunctioning robots. But they weren't malfuctioning anymore. Every light source on them, and their mechanical eyes surged from blue and yellow to an eriee red. The party regrouped, watching as the gallery of robots started toward them. Eve kept her cannon trained on the nearest ones, but refrained herself from firing, Wall-e slightly trembling beside her as they all backed away slowly. "WHY are we retreating again?" Vee asked, fists raised. "It's..." Sean started, Keyblade up. "It's not their fault...". He shook his head. He looked at Randall who grimaced, but nodded. It wasn't their fault they were infected. Eve was probably having similiar thoughts, as her arm tented to sway. She sensed something close to her, way closer than she expected, and quickly backed away, gun trained. "We're gonna find aventure in the evening air!". Wall-e had attempted to get closer to her, though in effect spooked her. Of course he didn't expect her to move away so fast, making him fall on his front, triggering his recorder. "Wall-e..." Eve mumbled in annoyance, but it quickly switched when she looked back at the enemy. Sean, Randall, and Vee were equally baffeled. "Girls in white in a perfumed night, where the lights are bright as the stars!". As the recorded song echoed in the repair ward, something rather peculiar happened. All of the robots stopped, as if entranced by the song, though they heard it only once before, when Wall-e escaped his containment unit. As they stared, almost listening to the song as if they had been opera lovers since creation, small ticks and twitches in connected parts an servos occured. And almost all at once, the Unbirth were pushed out of each one in a bright flash, falling to the floor, the malfunctioned robots returning to normal...well normal when it came to their reason for being in the ward at the time. "The song....the song!" Sean yelled. He looked back at Wall-e, who had stopped the recording, feeling that it may have caused trouble, despite it doing quite the opposite. "The song pops them out?" Vee asked, watching as the doors to the ward closed. "Take it this way..." Randall started, readied. "Won't have any concience problems now" * Mission: Use Walle's recorder (Action Command) to expose and defeat the Unbirth. * The malfunctioned robots scattered, probably at both the excitement of freedom and the confusion of what they had recently been under. But the Unbirth were up again, several spranging. "WALL-E!". Sean skitted back, switching on Wall-e's recorder, the song beginning to play. Like being next to a huge swinging bell as it clanged, the Unbirth soon shot away like fire-works, Randall and Vee springing to action as Eve thrusted forward. Randall paused when he realized she was just as fast as him. Arms spread, Eve went into a forward spiral, like the spinnel of a fan, slashing two Unbirth and throwing them against the walls. Randall came up on the left kicking the one she attacked, and stretching to barely strike another one nearby. Vee went for the other one, going fast enough to wall-walk briefly before flip kicking the Unbirth into the ceiling. Wall-e was going to follow Eve, but two Unbirth had reclaimed two of the robots, some vaccum-looking machine and the tennis-ball thrower, and they were QUITE interested in him. The tennis robot fired...but it didn't fire tennis balls...if fired a black and red flame ball. Wall-e effectibly gasped, compacting, even when Sean swung the Keyblade, catching the ball on the Keyblade's head, swatting it backward and into the vaccum-robot...who abruptly spat it back. "DANG!". He swung again, a little high, making the ball smash into the ceiling. The tennis robot continued to spat out ball after ball, Sean deflecting what he could away from Wall-e. A few balls got past him, breaking the glass of the repair area, and some bounced along the walls. One got him in the back and the leg, making him kneel down. "WALL-E! I COULD USE A LITTLE HELP!". Wall-e peeked out from his confined space, then noticing the danger, quickly pulled out his arms. Sean swat back the next ball, grabbing Wall-e and dodging to the side, tapping his play button, the Unbirth popping out. Eve had heard Wall-e earlier, how could she not, and let loose with a plasma blast, hitting the tennis-robot possessor. She aimed for the second, but had to dodge when a large handed robot aimed to strike her, the initials HAN-S written on it. It posed to strike again, that is before Vee came up between them, locking hands with the robot's. He planted his clawed feet as well as he could, growling as he entered a test of pushing strength with it. Eve was at first facinated that despite both of them being the same size, that this blue-lizard-like creature was just as strong as a machine designed for strength. Randall, meanwhile, had been dodging the recently re-possessed grooming robot, along with another one that strangely looked like an umbrella. "Just a trimmmmm?" the grooming robot said in a raspy mechanical voice, but using it's sharp impliments out of programing to cause harm. The umbrella accompanied it, cclosing and popping up...but in all fairness it was more an annoyance and a distraction than actual harm. "I COULD USE A LITTLE HELP HERE" Randall yelled, ducking his head as the groomer nearly cut one of his fronds off with a pair of scissors. He immdiately sucked in and land back as the umbrella opened up. Ok...maybe it could cause quite a cut... "One...second!" Vee grumbled. He dug his foot claws into the ground and then pushed forward. The machine, or the Unbirth, was surprised, and pushed forward. "Bingo!". Vee use the force as momentum, pushing his hands forward to grab it's arms, and twisted around in an arm drag, and tossed the HAN-S. It smacked into the two robots attacking Randall, smacking all three against the wall. Vee grimaced slightly...there was always going to be some collatoreal damage. Sean and Wall-e quickly came up, the song popping out the three Unbirth from the machines. Needless to say they were all dazed, and with little effort were taken down.... * What happened next was quite surprising. After the malfunctioning robots recovered, they immediately crowded around Wall-e. They were in quite the opposite mood, grabbing him and heaving him up like the lead scorer at a sporting event. And without warning, they started piling out of the ward. "Wha...HEY! Where they going?" Sean shouted. No sooner had the robots made it through the exit door than did alarms start sounding. And when that started happening, Eve started after them. Sean held out a hand to stop her, but she was already out. "Dang it...her too..." "I think we should get out of here..." Randall mumbled, looking over the room that was now in shambles. "Cause I'm not getting stuck with the bill here..." Sean helped Vee to his feet, the little test with the HAN-S taken out on him. "Good idea...those alarms won't do us good either...come on...". Sean and Randall started for the door, pausing to see if any security, at all, was coming. Looking down, and back, Sean saw Vee was in the opposite direction. "Vee...THIS WAY..." "Give me a minute!" he shouted back, having disappared behind the glass wall, he returned a minute later as promise, coming over to them, something in his hand. "What's that?". Vee held it up. It was a thin piece of hardware with a screen and several switches, something red marked on the screen. "They put something on uhh...Eve...and the rest of those robots...I figure with this we can track'em...this one's set to her...". Sean chuckled. "Brilliant Vee...brilliant" Vee grinned, looking to Randall for some compliment. The lizard monster simply shrugged. "Good thinking hard head..." he said, walking off, Vee muttering that if he wasn't tired he'd give him quite a smack on the head. *

Devestation, revelation, procrastination ^0^ Chapter 6 Escape Pod Level * They hustled as fast as they could, managing to hijack an empty transport to speed up the process. Vee took to a light sleep while Randall and Sean studied the screen. "Is it me or is she moving pretty fast...?" Randall whispered. Sean nodded. "Yeah...guess the security is after them...". A moment later, the screen on the transport, and in fact the holograms overhead all switched to the same red "Caution" screen, signyfing the visual as "Rogue Robots". "Guess that's our answer...". The transport took a turn, then another, and Sean swore he saw one of the malfunctioning robots turn the other way. Randall turned on his back, shoulder over the consol. "So...think the guy stands a chance?" Sean blinked, looking back at the tracker. "Uhh...who?" Randall chuckled. "The little guy". He pointed with his other hand at Wall-e on the rogue robot announcement. Sean paused, looking the screen. "With Eve?" "Yeah" He shrugged, but gave a light smile. "With what time we spend with the guy...he's...well...nice...and so far what I've seen of Eve she's a little pushy heh...but yeah I think once this whole mess is over...". He heard Vee yawn behing him. "She'll come around...he cares allot for her I think...she'll see that..." Randall had been eying him the entire time, which made Sean wonder why he asked the question. "What? You think we're in a space opera or romance right now?". Sean blinked, then Randall did. "Uhh...". Sean looked back at the tracker. "Ok...coming up on here again..." * It seemed elevators were as common around the ship as the robots were. Of course when they waited for this one to finally arrive, they were greated with a blasted screen near the top of the elevator platform. Needless to say, they knew who did it. "According to this" Vee started, looking at the tracker. "We're coming up on the....escape pods?". He jangled the thing, thinking it was broken. The elevator opened, and they found faced with a long hallway with several caution strips and yellow doors. "Uhh...just ahead..." Vee coughed. The three started forward, the door opening into a birghtly lit room with a circular front, the lights and design designating the section as the escape pod and the room as the launch bay. There was allot of pipes and suggestive parts on the left and right, bearing no interest. Overhead was a single three-sceen case, and to the right on the floor was the control panel. Black and yellow arrow strips led up to the pod's doors. But if the room was operational...and it usually wouldn't be...someone was activating an escape pod. It took merely the opening of the doors to signify the party's arrival...and the small robot GO-4 noticed them immediately. Turning from the screens, it looked straight at them...despite having no eyes. Sean quickly scanned the room. Something had happened in the short time. Eve was by the open escape pod, and Wall-e was inside...a boot in his arms...and more importantly...a plant in the boot. A quick summarize and guess work... "Don't let him touch the consol!" Sean shouted, moving before he finished, Randall and Vee getting it before it was half-way out. In a fit of duty, GO-4 slammed it's tiny shoulder extension on the launch switch. Warning bells sounded, and the pod doors closed. The pod launched...with Wall-e and the plant inside. GO-4 turned on the party, switching on it's silent siren light. "EVE!" Sean shouted again, but Eve was already on the move, dashing over to the Service Airlock tube on the left wall, and she was immediately launched off. Figuring Eve could handle it, he turned to GO-4, already wabbling some mechanical annoyance. "What were you doing with the plant?" he whispered. GO-4 didn't seem to be in the mood to talk, even if he wanted to. Without warning, GO-4 activated some sort of holding laser, as Sean was encircled by a red field, and felt himself slight immobile. But he was soon in the air, GO-4 swinging the field rope, then deactivating it, slamming him against the wall near the empty pod area. "YOU LITTLE!" Randall and Vee both yelled simutaniously, diving for GO-4, who quickly hovered to the side and aimed for the door. "NO YOU DON'T!" Randall yelled. With a twist of his tail, he grabbed GO-4 by the "waist", and flung it into a pipe. Surprisingly the little robot wasn't as durable as others, as the impact apparently caused a shut-down, the lights and movement from GO-4 halting. The two tailed party members got to their feet, running over to Sean, who was rubbing his back from the impact. "You alright!?" Vee yelled. "Yeah...stop with the yelling..." Sean said, half-chuckling, trying to dig a Potion out of his pocket, stopping when Randall offered one of his. "There goes the pod and Eve..." Randall said, motioning with a raise of his jaw. The two looked out the port window. Despite their distance from the Axiom, the white figures in the darkness of space, were easy to make out. The pod was ahead of Eve, and she was bearing down on it as fast as she could. All three watched with anticipation. Eve seemed to be going as fast as she could to catch up, but whether if it was for Wall-e or the plant...they weren't sure. Nonetheless, geting to the pod and getting both of them was important.... And then the unexpected happened. Off in the distance compared to the pod, an explosion erupted. A white flower of bright fire shinning with orange and tinged yellow flame. All of their anticipation shattered. Vee's jaw dropped, Sean starred with disbelief, and Randall simply looked shocked. Soon it all came together. The pod had to had been sent out to self-destruct. And though the three of them were focused on the horrible thoughts of what just happened, they knew that the explosion was meant for just the plant... "No..." Sean whispered, turning and walking away, eyes on GO-4. "Why did...". Vee came up beside him, holding his arm. Randall stayed by the pod, watching, despite the shock passing, something else bothering him on a more deeper level. Sean looked back up. The shock didn't stop. GO-4's lights started up again, and with a "wrr", it started with a slight wobble to the middle of the room. Unintentionally, Sean backed Vee away from his arm, the Keyblade forming in his hand. With something similiar to a growl, he charged. "HOW COULD YOU!?" * BOSS: GO-4 * GO-4 had no intention of having his previous unconciousness be forgotten. Sean charged, Keyblade poised, fury in his eyes. GO-4 grabbed him with his holding ray, but unfortunately for him he could only grab one at a time. Vee joined the fray, slide dashing to slam GO-4 against the wall near the exit door. Unfortunately for them, seemed GO-4 was not willing to shut-down again. It shot it's beam at Vee this time, waiting for Sean to charge him, and slammed Vee into him, both hitting the main console. But determination spurred Sean up again, and this time, he was ready. GO-4 fired it's beam again, but Sean rose the Keyblade so the beam hit the indestructible crystal at the base of the blade. The beam reflected, and GO-4 found itself immobile by it's own design. Unfortunately for GO-4 again, Sean wasn't as forgiving now as he was normally, as he was staring at GO-4 with a form of blind rage. "Your gonna pay for that...". * "Sean wait...". Sean was surprised he heard Randall's whisper. He looked back, seeing Ran pointing out the port hole. Grimacing, Sean slowly backed up, still having GO-4 in it's own beam, till he was able to look to the side and see out the port hole. A flurry of new stars were appearing out of nowhere...no...out of the path of the pod, quickly disappearing as soon as he saw them. Eve was following it...and soon she and the flurry approached the ship, slowly going down under it. And Sean managed to see. The red form of a fire-extinguisher. And more importantly, it was held by Wall-e. "He's...ok..." Sean whispered, suddenly relieved. He lowered the Keyblade, not bothering to watch GO-4 be released and dart out of the room. He kneeled down, coughing, as if to get the anger that was out of him. Vee came over right away, patting his back in case it was really a cough. "I'm ok..." he said finally after minute. "We...better find them...". He got to his feet. "Sean..." Randall started, looking at him. "I'm fine...really...just...got caught up..." he replied. Randall was still looking at him, serious. "...Keep it in check..." Randall said, turning to head for the door. He paused, and started laughing, holding a hand to his head. "HA!..."I" should be talkin about that...ha". * Knowing Eve would take the plant directly to the bridge, the party started their trip back. Strangely, as soon as the elevator doors opened, they were greeted with a desolate view. The vast halls were empty. Stepping in, at least for Sean and Vee, their footsteps echoed. "Hello!" Vee called, hands to the side of his mouth. Echoing again. Uneasily going forward, they turned the corner to spot several abandoned transporters. Despite the erieeness, they programmed one to head near the bridge. They spotted other abandonded transporters, theirs shifting a line to pass by them, and no robots or people around. The bad news might be the Unbirth passed through...the good news is that there wasn't an army of integrated robots waiting for them.... *

Chapter 7 Muntiny * The lobby robot seemed to be ethusiastic about seeing them again, waving both of it's small arms. The party waved it off, asking for the bridge, which it was delighted to comply with, though it knew the Captain was below it. No sooner had they arrived at the Captain's Quarters, than did they see the Captain and Eve. In the Captain's hands was the boot with the plant, Eve probably presenting it earlier. Wall-e wasn't in sight. Although concern was through them all, the Captain was oblivious, lost in the mere excitement of the plant's discovery. With a delighted smile, he looked at Eve and the party. "We can go back home!" he shouted with glee. "For the first time!". Suddenly relization spread over his face. "OH! What's it like now?" he asked, closer to Eve, who seemed less thrilled about the idea of describing it. "No no no...don't tell me" the Captain started, turning around and grabbing something from a panel, above it showing several images, one prominately being a pizza. "I want to see for myself". He quickly returned, placing a device on Eve's head. "Uh Captain you may not want to do..." Vee started, finger raised. But the device started, projecting a rectangular images of Earth.... "Wait...that doesn't look like Earth..." the Captain stated, clearly confused with what he was being shown. "Where's the blue sky?" he asked no one in particular, going into deep realization, turning to look at the images he seemed to have examined himself. "Where's the grass?". The party began looking between the Captain's thoughts on Earth, to the screen still showing images of what Eve saw, particularly...ones with Wall-e in the carrier they were in on Earth before leaving. They all eased their way onto the bridge. Finally the Captain turned to the screen. "I know that song...". It was the same one Wall-e had on his recorder. "Strut down the street and have your picture took" "They're um...dancing...yes...dancing" the Captain stated, enjoying the tune and looking at the plant. He looked at it with renewed admiration. "You made it somehow huh little guy? You didn't give up did you?". When a leaf fell off of the plant in the slight shaking, the Captain quickly hovered off, engaging some sort of water device to feed the plant. See he was busy, the party looked on at the screen Eve still projected, the scene of a woman in red and a man holding hands. "That it only..." the song started, but it quickly switched to a black screen, the words "Activating Security Camera" appearing in white. "What's that?" Vee whispered, looking up at both Sean and Randall, but getting no answer. The images began, showing Wall-e, clearly concernered with Eve at whatever event occured then, and Eve herself seemed unaware of the events herself, looking at the images. One showed him holding up an umbrella, seemingly for her, doing a rainstorm, albiet getting striked with lightning himself, though seemingly unharmed. Another showed him placing something around Eve. From the image, it looked very cold, perhaps winter, meaning they were outside. Wall-e compacted himself near her, though leaving his eyes up and on her, he appeared to be shivering. Eve looked down at her hands, forming the holding gesture that was from the man and woman. Sean eased himself into a kneel beside her. "He does care for you allot...doesn't he?" he said, though it wasn't a question. Eve didn't seem to notice him, but understood what he meant and what she realized. Vee placed his arms together behind his back. "Aww...so good to know what a person loves ya" he said, thinking his own romatic thoughts. Randall, up against the side of the small wall near the elevator, simply watched the recording, somewhat in a form of admiration. "Wall-e..." Eve whispered, complete understanding of how he felt about her. Saying his name with determination to set things right with him, she took the imager off her head and started off...that is before Auto, surprising Sean, Randall, and Vee, blocked her path. "Auto..." the Captain started, turning his chair to the wheel. "Eve found the plant...Fire up the holo-detector...". Sean got to his feet, staring at the back of Auto, the wheel's attention fully on the plant. "Not necessary Captain...you may give it to me..." Auto announced, turning a bit to extend a small grabber. The Captain waved him off, and started away. "You know what? I should do it myself..." he said in a repsectibly voice. "Captain..." Auto started, and soon rose, disappearing through the ceiling. Randall and Vee jumped back when Auto lowered in front of the elevator, right near Sean and blocking the Captain's path. "Sir...I insist you give me the plant" Auto...insisted. "Auto...get out of my way..." the Captain said, authority brewing. "The Axiom must not return to Earth..." "Why not?". The Captain slowly backed away, before gesturing the plant. "Look! This plant is proof that we CAN...and we SHOULD Auto...Earth is our home! And it needs our help!...To bring the blue sky back! To bring the green...back!" the Captain stated. Sean looked at Auto's lense from the side. He could have some something blue cycled inside. "Irrelevant...all passengers will remain on the Axiom" Auto stated, almost on par with the Captain. The Captain started to breath heavily now, Auto was acting as if he was in command. "Auto..." he started. "Activate the Holo-Detector...that's an order..". Auto seemed to consider it, but only for a moment. "Your order is irrelevant...your command is relieved" "WHAT!?" the Captain yelled. Auto rose slightly. "Passengers will remain on the Axiom...the souls and hearts will all remain....". Sean flashed his eyes, looking over Randall and Vee, who knew what he was thinking. Auto's form extended slightly, an alarm blaring. From somewhere, GO-4 entered the room, and shot out it's beam, encapsulating the plant. "This is mutiny!" the Captain yelled. "Eve! Arrest him!". Eve immediately complied, blaster out and aimed at GO-4. She motioned it to place the plant in her storage chest, never taking her weapon off him. The party didn't dare move, not wanting to distract Eve's concentration. "Eve...you are to put this plant straight in the holo-detector". No sooner did the Captain finished speaking, GO-4 swung the beam, tossing the plant. "NO!!!". The plant fell into a tube near the captain holo-portraits. Faintly the words Trash Chute were on it. And for a ship in space, there were words for what happened to trash. Crushed, burned, ejected. Everyone was stunned, as if time had stopped. Then a sound broke the silence. Servos started whirring and something was poking out from the rim of the chute. Something green. Then something brown. It was the plant. Somehow making it's way up the chute. But soon they all realized it had held...from Wall-e's head no less. "Eva?" he questioned. "WALL-E!" everyone shouted in response. Wall-e climbed half-way out of the chute, the plant falling in front of his neck, and he seemed to be surprised that he had it. Then things happened in a flash. Sean brandished the Keyblade, aiming to knock Auto unconcious like GO-4, but Auto seemed to have eyes around the bridge. In a downward slash, the Keyblade parried with one of Auto's extensions, electrical sparks flying. Auto twisted horizontal and spun, slamming Sean against Randall, then against Vee, knocking all three away before disappearing into the ceiling. At the same time, Eve was stopped by GO-4 from getting to Wall-e, the Captain unable to do anything in a combat situation right now. Wall-e aimed to help Eve, but was halted in the path by Auto. Dazed, Sean and Randall shook their heads to get clear, Vee somewhere beneath them, his blue tail pointing straight in the air. They watched as Auto started to take grabs at the plant, Wall-e one step ahead of him, eventually opening his front case and placing the plant safely inside, showing Auto he had no intention of giving it up at all. Then something flickered on Auto's right side, something electrical. Sean and Randall were barely on their feet before it happened... With a forward thrust, Auto slammed the electrical weapon into Walle's front panel, specifically where his power meter and boards were. Eve screamed, sounding more human than any previous time. The electricity was like white fire, burning into Walle's frame and coursing through him in blue sparks. Auto finally stopped, Wall-e clearly in dullness to complete electronical pain. Randall's eyes focused on the power meter...instead of being several bright shades of yellow, there was now a singularly red beeping. Red was never good for machines he knew. Hot fumes spread up from the little robot...before he lost his bearing and fell into the chute... "WALL-E!!". The two got to their feet as quick as they could, but Auto was already on Eve, pressing the switch to the red device that she had had since the Repair ard, shutting her down, and GO-4 placed her in the chute as well. Both of them had fallen. Auto then turned to the others. But he wasn't given the chance to make some statement. Sean was on his feet, poised with the Keyblade, similiar fury to what he had in the escape pod area. But this time it was assured. They didn't see Wall-e and the plant blow up right in front of them. But they had seen first hand what Auto had done. Randall was beside him, growling with all sharp teeth present. Sean didn't care to know right now what was on his mind, but if he did, he knew Randall had the same idea about the red imagine they'd seen before Wall-e fell, and knew what it meant. It meant, in regards to machines...he was dying. "YOU..." Sean started, head motioning side to side. "ARE DEAD!" Randall ended, and they both charged, Vee behind them, still dazed. * MISSION: Defeat Auto * GO-4 grabbed Randall with it's beam, but Sean didn't give it the chance. "THUNDER!" he yelled, and from out of nowhere, the yellow and white charge shot down, overloading GO-4's systems with electricity, and from inside blowing it to smitherins. Randall joined in the charge again. Auto aimed his electro-prod in their direction and charged it. Within short seconds he fired a bolt of electrical discharge at them. The two dodged, their speed in equal to Auto's own, and Randall was slightly faster. Ahead of Sean, he grabbed Auto's many extensions with all four hands, pushing downward, aiming to rip Auto from his casing, as Auto tired to raise himself. Sean leaped for the extension, Keyblade primed to strike. Auto quickly extended slightly and rotated, loosening Randall's grip, before spinning, knocking Randall back into a control conosle. He quickly rose, Sean's strike missing, and disappearing into the ceiling. He appeared far off to the side, and dropping from the opening in the ceiling, two blue Unbirths...heading straight for the Captain. "What are those things!?" the Captain yelled, backing up. "You are all confined to your Quarters..." Auto announced, disappearing into the ceiling, the lights and machines all shutting off. They weren't able to defeat him.... *

Ahh...this chapter has one of the funniest scenes I've done ^0^ Of course it looks allot better in picture, but that'll come later. Chapter 8 Escape * "Oooh..." Randall growled, getting his bruised back off the panel. When he got the chance to find a wrench and a screwdriver, he would take Auto appart piece by piece. He looked up, seeing Sean taking his own rage out on the two Unbirths left with them, taking them out in sort order. He stood near the Captain, his shoulders rising and falling with heavy breathing. Near the elevator, Vee leaned up, shaking his wobbling head. "Oooh..." he said, mimicking Randall unintentionally, getting to his feet. "Wha happen?". Randall grimaced at the mention. These were one of the things he was better off not knowing. After a long silence from everyone. "Auto nearly killed Wall-e..." Sean said, still looking away from everyone. Vee's eyes went wide. He really would rather not know now. "He's mutinied...after all this time..." the Captain muttered. Sean sighed, turning, his face half pale. "It's not all his fault...one of those...things is in him...one of the Unbirth...otherwise why...why wouldn't he have done something about them?" "Oh...NICE...despite nearly killing the little guy!?" Randall yelled from across the room. Sean looked at him, and Randall retracted, looking down, all four hands clenched. "I know what you mean..." Sean shook his head. "We've got to get out of here...help Eve and Wall-e...if he's alive..." "He's gotta be!" Vee yelled, breathing heavy. Sean looked at the Captain. "Captain...you have any ideas?" The Captain shook his head. "Auto's overridden everything...it's like he's in control of the ship now...". He sighed deeply. "But...what's the point...the plant's probably out in space...". Everyone slumped at the mention. Better than burning, but not by much at all. Randall leaned on the consol, rubbing his back. Vee sat near the elevator, trying to pry it open to no avail. Sean shouldered the Keyblade, looking down at the floor. Wall-e was dying. And Eve was unconcious, unable to help him. And all three of them were probably being ejected into space. Even if they could escape, even if they could find another plant, it wouldn't matter. The vision of thousands, perhaps a million, Unbirths in the Axiom, waiting to be unleashed on another unsuspecting world, with Auto unknowingly leading them there. They'd failed. With a sigh, Sean lowered himself beside Vee, placing the Keyblade over his lap. With some humorous thought, he wondered if Vee would fit in the chute, but decided against it. Wouldn't work anyway. Right now, things were grim for all of them. But they had to do SOMETHING. Once they were finished with the passengers and the crew, they'd be next. And none of them wanted it to start. Gripping the Keyblade harder and closing, Sean tried to focus on something positive. Anything positive...though right now it was hard to find. "Even in the deepest darkness...there's always a light" It didn't just go for hearts. But how did it apply here? He went back to thinking the positive thoughts. The good ones that they shortly had with Wall-e and Eve. Even in that short time...they helped each other. The Keyblade vibrated, the tip slightly glowing, without warning, something flashed in his head.... "They're alive..." Sean whispered. He opened his eyes. "ouge...ots...". Something was speaking. "tion....Caution...Caution". He looked up, looking for the sound, and found it, and so did the Captain. Through the glassy panels, off into the Lito Deck, was a Rogue Robots warning screen. Several of them showed Wall-e and Eve...but this wasn't the first one. It was new for certain. It had the plant. "They're alive..." he said, eyes widening. "What? Alive?" Vee asked, turning from the elevator. "Th...They're alive!!" he jumped. "The plant!" the Captain yelled. The grimness passed, and now a new realization on a whim grew. It was time to escape. * Sean and Vee waited near the window, watching the events on the Lido deck. It was deserted thankfully, having "closed" for the "night". "We'll see who's powerless now" the Captain chuckled, motioning his chair back and under the table fixed into the wall, pulling out two wires and cuppling them together. Randall was on his back, unfortunately for him, hands poking through panels and wires, working like an artist at a piano. Despite having no experience on the Axiom's design, simplicity and common thinking were enough, comprised with his own knowledge of some components, was enough to get their plan in motion. "Hand me the red wire" he said, though his head was in the dark under the table. The Captain complied, despite his probable discussion about ordering the CAPTAIN to do something. Even if he did, Randall wouldn't care. Both were currently under the task of going under Auto's nose. And both knew that even if Auto had full control, he didn't expect them to do something about it. "Ok..." Randall mumbled, motioing three hands before getting his head out and looking at the Captain. "You'll probably have less than a minute before wheely knows we're doing something...". He went back under the mass of cable and wires. "I'll try reconnecting the circuits and pull out some boards...that way we can still use it and he can't cut us off...". The Captain nodded, waited a moment to wonder if now was the time to address his rank properly to the lizard robot, but then thought against it. Now was the time for action. Randall motioned to the side as a sparks flew, and on the table, a holo-screen activated. "Testing...testing...is this thing on?" he started. Under the table, Randall muttered something obscene. "This is the captain...I am locked in my room" he whispered. He grabbed the red book, holding it open for the holo-detector page. "Eve...Wall-e...bring the plant to the Lido Deck". "We'll activate the holo-detector...now hurry! Auto's probably going to cut us off..." No sooner had he said that did something spark under the table. "GAH!". Randall quickly pulled himself out, the tips of his fronds and his forehead blackened. "UGH..." he said, rubbing his head and looking up at the Captain. "WHY DID YOU JINX IT!?" he yelled. "You've really got some rank issues don't you?" the Captain asked. Randall was up on his feet, pushing his arms as if they were sleeves. "I'LL GET YOU SOME RANK IS...". Sean and Vee quickly came up, holding him back. "OK..." Sean said, sighing with relief, both that they got the message out and Ran was ok...and so was the Captain. "Now we need to get Auto's attention and get out of here...". "I'll handle that..." the Captain said, grabbing the tool he had used on Eve to see Earth, placing it on the floor in front of his consol, projecting an image of Wall-e holding up the plant. The Captain positiond himself in front of the image, holding up his hand in a way so it seemed he was holding up the plant. He sent a message to the bridge, which Auto abruptly answered. "Look what I got Auto!" the Captain stated, laughing. "That's right...the plant...You want it? Come and get it blinky" he mocked. He turned off the image, and everyone sprung into hiding positions. No sooner had they, Auto came down from the ceiling into the darkened room. "Captain?....Captain?" he said. He looked around, coming to a halt at the captain portraits. No sooner did he see a mass in front of the last one, than did the Captain launched himself forward, grabbing Auto by the wheel. "MOVE EVERYONE!" he ordered. The circular shaft to the bridge Auto used was still open. Randall went through first, having been on the ceiling. Vee went next, coming from under the rails, hopping on Auto's wheel, and hustling up Auto's pole, Randall grabbing him as he came to the top. Sean came around from behind the elevator, doing the same, he stopped at the pole, looking down. "Captain!" he yelled. The Captain growled, holding onto Auto for dear life. "Don't...worry about me! I'll get the holo-detector...just go!" he ordered. With a grit of concern, Sean started up, Randall and Vee hoisting him up. All of them went for the elevator, functional on the bridge level, preparing to arrive at the Lido deck. Randall ran his hands over his head, trying to get his fronds and scales back to their normal shade. Vee cracked his fists, rilded up and ready to fight. Sean eased himself, breathing. He had to calm down. The two recent events had barred both him and Randall, Vee too. And they can't let it take control of them. They were fighting for others... "Alright...lets do this" Sean said. *

Now we see both compassion and fighting in this newest chapter, and we get to see a combination attack with a party member ^_^ Chapter 9 The Lido Deck * They passed the lobby bot for the third time in the adventure, but it seemed it's vision went to something right outside the lobby. The party stopped, looking themselves. The lido deck was changing. The night screens lifted, brightening up the room to show several stands and small pools of water around a much larger one. Soon the pools were elclipsed by metal smooth metal plates, closing over them. Suddenly ever single holoscreen turned green, showing the plant symbol that was on Eve before. And then on an elevated platform, something started rising up...from the make and resemblance from the book, it was the holo-detector. The Captain had done it. They all ran out, looking up at a bright screen that had just appeared, showing the Captain...abliet being flailed around while attached to Auto. "Ladies and gentlemen...this is your captain speaking!". "We're having a slight malfunction with the autopilot!". "Please remain calm!". Sean, Randall, and Vee skitted to a stop at the edge of the lowest part of the deck. Who was the Captain talking to? The deck was desolate. "What's going on...?". He looked at Randall, who simply shrugged. "Don't look at me..." he said, like he was being accused. "LOOK! UP THERE!" Vee yelled, pointing. They all looked at the main entrance to the Lido deck. Floating in the air...was Eve...carrying Wall-e. They spotted the three, and Eve pulsed over, setting Wall-e down gently. Eve seemed to be alright, but Wall-e was far from it. He looked exhausted, or at least as exhausted as a robot could look, and a large hole was burned into his motherboards, as Eve showed them. "Oh jeez..." Sean whispered, he looked at Eve. "Eve...is there anything we can do?" he asked. Eve shook her head. "Oh no...we've got more trouble!!" Vee yelled again. All four turned to the center of the deck. Forming around the slick black surface of the main pool's shutters, were flat purple and black holes. Several of them scattered around. Jumping from them were several Unbirths, the portals disappearing. They turned their attention to them, starting slowly for them. "GREAT...we don't have time for this!" Sean yelled, calling the Keyblade. Randall, having been looking at Wall-e's crippled form, had been slient in his worry. His eyes drifted to a small pool nearby, a malfunctioned rule bot near it, seeming to have been splashed on and shut down. With a growl, he started over to Wall-e. "Alright..." "What?" Sean asked. Randall knelt down next to Wall-e, observing the damage. "I'll see what I can do...I can scrounge some parts...". He looked over Wall-e's boards, the little robot looking at him with his goggle eyes. "I can't fix him...we need to get to Earth to do that...but I can keep him from going under with a patch job...just keep those things off my back...". Sean looked at him, seeing Randall both concentrating one what he could do and avoid looking at anyone, even Wall-e. He placed a hand on the monster's shoulder. "Thanks Ran...". Without another word, he turned to the Unbirth. "Vee...Eve...heh...lets run some Lido control...". * MISSION: Defeat the Unbirth while protecting Randall and Wall-e! * Randall had pulled Wall-e over to the rule bot, stripping parts and getting to work. Sean, Vee, and Eve took up the positions nearby, several Unbirths heading to them. "Dish it out!" Vee yelled. An Unbirth neared him, and recieved a flashing uppercut, another recieving a downward thrust from his clawed feet. "Vee Headbutt!". He backed up, positioned his feet, and launched himself head first into three, smashing one into oblivion as two others were pushed away. He landed near two more, who managed to swipe him against his tail and arm. He didn't care at first, flip kicking one and triple jabbing another. The two previously knocked away aimed for him, one thrusted a spike into his side. Vee took it in though, grabbing the Unbirth and slamming it into another, taking a moment to recover. Eve potshot several without moving to her position, but two on her side got close. Using her thrusters, she slammed into one, similiar into what Vee had used, but then turned, closing her left hand and swiping it, sharply slicing the second Unbirth. She saw five more moving straight for her. But straight was her specialty. She aimed her plasma cannon, charging it for a smaller but more intense beam, and fired. The beam went through three of them, taking them out, and wounded the other two. Three more came at her left side. She compacted her cannon and spread her arms, twisting around into a small tornado, taking in the three Unbirths and slicing them with wind and her arms. She stopped, all three lifting up in the air and shattering. Sean had the middle position, at first throwing the Keyblade to knock out five. When it came back to him he charged. "BLIZZARD!". The frost flakes shot out, hitting two and blowing into a short mist. Sean jumped through, bringing the Keyblade down on one and side-swiping the other nearby. Two more charged at him and another from the mist found it's way throught. Sean slide-kicked the third, knocking it in the air and jumping, twisting the Keyblade for a circular swipe, taking it out. He landed and the two others swiped at his side, both making their mark. Rejecting the pain for now, he kicked the near one, spun, and brought down the Keyblade on the other. "This is going to take forever..." he muttered. "REGROUP!" he yelled, running back to his position. Eve and Vee heard, Vee running back to his. More Unbirth were still coming for them. The three backed up to one another, watching the small little army. "Any ideas?" Vee asked, holding his arm. "Just one" Sean grimaced, reaching into his pocket. He pulled out a larger vial of the healing liquid, tossing it in the air. The vial split and disappeared, the liquid falling and disappearing on all three of them, taking wounds, or scraps of metal, away. "And that's all I've got..." "Brilliant" Vee muttered, hand to head. "Ok ok...give me a second" Sean breathed, looking at Eve, her cannon trained on nearby Unbirths. And he got an idea. "Eve..." he started, getting her attention. He kneeled down, giving her instruction, Vee keeping his eyes on the Unbirth. When Sean finally leaned up, he poised the Keyblade. "Vee...get ready to take out the ones we don't get..." "Got it..." Vee said. "Ready Eve?" he asked. Eve nodded. "Affirmative..." she said. The two charged, Eve spinning and Sean swiping side to side. Once they got to the middle, they initiated their tactic. "Activating Positron Laser!". Eve pulled out her left arm, and Sean wrapped his around it, forming an S. Sean pointed out the Keyblade and Eve brandished here cannon, setting it. Pushing off, they started a spin. Eve shot out a long beam in a whip motion, and from the tip of the Keyblade sprouted a similiar right light. Spinning, the two blades pushed back and obliterated the Unbirths in their radius. Eve used here floating momentum to keep Sean up, and he used their spin to arc the Keyblade's beam, charring anything in their path. Outside the radius, Vee rushed in, the Vee-Blade on his arm, swiping out any grounded Unbirth shot back. Once the number dropped, Eve halted the spin and Sean got to his feet. Eve looked up, cannon up in a form of victory, Sean did the same, hoisting the Keyblade over his shoulder. * Randall placed the loose parts to the side, judging what he could cobble togther, holding Wall-e's motherboard in one hand, and thinking of how to patch the broken sections. He had little time right now, and even less to work with. He grabbed one of the boards he stripped, comparing it to Wall-e's. As he did, his focus on the board, Wall-e's right metal hand rose, coming to Randall's lower left. The cold touch alerted him, and Randall paused, looking at the arm, then at Wall-e, the little robot's eyes nearly closed. "E...va?" he asked. Randall just stared for a moment, before getting back to work. "She's fine..." he said, placing the Wall-e's board back and starting to scold off a second from the clearly different stripped board. "Just keep thinking of her and you'll be fine". He didn't look at Wall-e's eyes again. He compared the scolded component, matching it's porportions to Wall-e's burnt section, then starting scolding it with a cutting laser again. "You know your lucky you care about somebody so much" he suddenly said, not taking his eyes off his work. "I didn't use to...one of the reasons I was passionate about inventing...". He compared again. Nearly there, and started cutting slight corners. "I was good...". He paused, thinking. "Maybe too good...". shaking his head, he continued. "Anyway...always wanted to try making something...anything worthwhile...". He compared the piece again, fair enough, and started to slowly place it in the section. "I had one one time...took me months of not sleeping...not thinking clearly...". He had to resist taking out out his memory on Wall-e, not wanting to do anything wrong, he finished placing the piece in, grabbing other components and working them into the patch. "And just when it was done...bam...ripped and tossed away like it was nothing...". Piece secure, he placed his motherboard back in, sighing. "Just like me...". He looked over any wires he could fix. "So since I'm doing this for you...don't get tossed away...". Wires redone, board patched, he was finished. Wall-e had more time, but would still need the components from his truck on Earth...otherwise the patch was useless... * Meanwhile... * "ENOUGH!". Auto swung himself, tossing the Captain. Calling up the screen on the Lido Deck, Auto watched as Sean, Eve, and Vee finished with the Unbirth attackers. Suddenly, Auto started shaking in fury. Several servos and mechanical sounds enchoed, and from Auto's black and white exterior, started to bellow a crimson and dark flame. Once the Captain looked up from being thrown, shaking his head, he aimed to grab Auto again........but Auto was nonwhere to be seen... * No sooner had Sean, Vee, and Eve returned to Wall-e and Randall, than did the whole Lido Deck began shaking violently. Everyone got low as light on the deck started to decrease, till it was halfway between day and night. Suddenly something burst from out of the main entrance, landing in a heap in front of the platform that had the holo-detector. It was a cobbling of metal shards, platforms, screens, two large crab-like armored wheels, and a large antenna-like attachment. Far above, something smashed through the Captain's quarters, going to fast to see before it slammed into the mass of mechanical equipment. Once it stopped, it was seeable. It was a huge blue swirling mass, absorbing the pieces. Bits of the metal formed into extensions, being wrapped by the blue mass, then swaying like a tentacle. The crab wheels took up the bottom, bringing the mass upward. It turned around, showing it's front. On the top curved over a dark purplish shell, wrapped around a B&L screen. Two different platforms were arranged near it, the lower one with a handle. In the middle left was the antenna, surging electricity in it's center. And swaying lightly ahead of it, attached to the mass by two thick protruding tentacles...his upper pole missing....was Auto. "THE AXIOM WILL NOT RETURN TO EARTH" he announced. Sean brandished the Keyblade, as did Eve with her cannon, Vee raised his fists, and Randall lowered, ready. Even Wall-e came up beside Eve, feeling halfly-better right now. The Unbirth extended, Auto swaying as it posied to attack. BOSS: Unbirth Auto

Now for the big boss fight! I used some game mechanics here (some of which are detailed in the pic of Unbirth Auto in the fanart section) and tried to increase the length of the fight. And also, a momumental surprised (especially for Auto fans. And heck, I've finished the story several months ago, I didn't expect for Auto fans to be here 0_0) is at the end of this chapter. Chapter 10 Directive * The Unbirth "crouched" on it's two long crab-like-legs, and in a mechanical screech, the legs shot forward. It charged toward the party, who dodged to respective sides as it slowed. Sean and Vee ducked into a roll, getting to their feet almost instantly, running toward the mass of blue flesh and steel. Randall waited on all eights several feet away, using any technical knowhow to piece together the cobbled Unbirth's form for weaknesses. Eve stayed near Wall-e, who was either feeling ready to go or "crashing" in the energy sense. Sean and Vee jumped back when the Unbirth positioned it's legs back again, picking up one, then the other, turning to face them. Auto, dangling from two thick tentacles, pulled forward, turning on his side and spinning, knocking his five extensions into Sean's chest. Vee ducked under, heading for one of the legs, full on fists. Thicker, darker flesh shelled the outside of the metal legs, but underneath the mass they were vunerable. But it didn't seem to do much good when Vee started pounding on it. He was barely causing a dent before a stray tentacle above the base dropped and slashed at him with it's blunt form and shards of metal pieces here and there. He was tossed backward, landing near wher Sean was holding onto Auto with both hands, the Keyblade on the ground beside him. He heard an electronic wrr behind him, Eve he was certain, he looked to see Eve with her cannon open, motioning with her head for him to lean. He did, and Eve shot off a thin blast, which smacked into Auto's red eye, pushing him back. Sean ducked and reached for the Keyblade, running over to Vee and getting him to his feet. "We need to get higher on it..." Sean grimaced, taking a battle position again, Vee as well. "Oh sure...lets take the elevator" Vee remarked. The five regrouped, Auto's dazed state seeming to affect the Unbirth itself. "Any ideas gang?" Sean asked, everyone near each other. "It's harder at the base..." Vee noted, rubbing his knuckles. "Higher" Eve said, nodding that that was indeed what they had to do. "Ran? Ideas?" Sean asked, looking back at the him, though going between him and the Unbirth. Ran shook his head. "Lets get higher first..." "Higher it is..." Sean whispered, noticing Auto coming out ofh is daze. "Lets go!" The five charged, Eve carrying Wall-e. Auto pulled himself forward to bash into one of them, Eve taunting him to do so, but she quickly dashed to the side, Auto's attempt useless. Randall grappled onto one of the legs, Vee and Sean running interferrance for one of the flailing tentacles, attacking it till it went limp. Past the origin of the tentacle, Randall looked up for anything else to grab onto, the less hardened flesh of the Unbirth he was unable to climb up from. He spotted a platform higher up, a dark purple one that looked firmly attached to the Unbirth. A little above it, also attached, was a handle. He would have gotten a better view, that is before Auto's black and white form dropped in front of him. Randall barely had time to react, other than holding on, when Auto spun, Randall popping into the air and falling backward. It would have been a near-fatal fall, that is if Eve hadn't shot over, gripping under his upper arms. Randall blinked, looking back at her. "Guess that makes us kinda even right?". Eve didn't reply, lowering him quickly to the ground. "SEAN!" he called over. Vee took up the renewed limb, Sean dodging back. "The platform at the top!" Randall shouted over. Sean followed his pointing, seeing it. He nodded confirmation and backed up, grimacing. Randall was the climber, not him, and if he couldn't reach it now, no way he could. "Dang...need to get lower..." he mumbled. "VEE! Come on!". Vee looked back, ducking when the tentacle swung over him, running with Sean out from under it. Wall-e, meanwhile, was over by one of the legs, using his cutting laser, which did a fairer job at trying to break through than Vee's fists. Eve quickly rushed over to him after she let down Randall, all five retreating. No sooner had they done so, than did the Unbirth's legs position again. Sean and Randall risked a look back. Like last time, the Unbirth had "crouched" lower, shooting forward. "Bingo..." they both mouthed, continuing to run. "EVE!" he called over. Eve hovered over near him. "Toss me up when it gets close!". Eve was unsure what he was getting at, but it soon dawned on her. She quickly gave Wall-e to Randall and held Sean's arms. Turning to face it, as soon as the Unbirth got close, Vee and Randall dodged to the side as Eve airlifted Sean upward. Using what location prediction circuity she had, Eve predicted when to let go and where. A few seconds later she did, albiet Sean was a little unexpected of the drop. Still, he fell vertical as the platform came up. When he came near, he slammed the Keyblade into the loose portion of the handle...but missed. "Cr..." he started to shout, loosing his grip, his foot slipping. He threw out a hand and gripped the handle as hard as he could. Luckily, the Unbirth soon halted it's charge, taking a moment to recover. Sean used the moment to get fully on the platform. He spotted something else slightly higher ahead. It was a bullet-like platform with a smooth circular top, and it was also firmly attached to the Unbirth. And it was in front of the shell at the Unbirth's top, and the B&L screen. Strange, he thought, that there might be something in there. His thoughts were interrupted by wind whipping around his face. Below, the Unbirth had spread its legs and somehow spun intself in a tighter circle. He hoped everyone else wasn't in close, but figured Auto was trying to get him off for some reason, which meant they had the right idea. Once he stopped, Sean leaped for the second platform using the tip of the Keyblade to hook onto the other side of the rim, and pulled himself up. Something slashed against his back as he did so, and he turned, Keyblade raised, to see there was a tentacle protruding below the platform. It didn't take too long to subdue the tentacle before he turned his attention elsewhere. Below, Randall and Vee were distracting Auto while Eve, half carrying Wall-e, was firing her cannon, Wall-e using his laser when they got close. His eyes fell onto the B&L screen. The screen was partly dimmed, but it was clear there was something inside. Gripping the Keyblade, he started slashing. Despite it's apparent glass texture, the screen seemed resistant and thick, the Keyblade taking off shards and pieces instead of just smashing the thing on the first strike. On the fifteenth hit, the glass shattered. Inside...was the damaged but seemingly still operational upper pole of Auto's. A open part on the pole was visible, a large red switch on it, the words "Off" written on it. Auto's deactivation switch. "GET OFF". Sean turned, immediately seeing Auto's red eye focusing on him before he was whacked in the chest and set flying just like Randall. Eve, having been preoccupied with carrying Wall-e, was unable to get to him in time. Before he hit the ground, Randall and Vee chased to grab him. Randall managed a leap, grabbing him, and both crashing into Vee. "Oooh....thanksss guysss..." Sean started, head spinning and dazed, along with Vee and Randall. Finally recovering, they got to their feet. Pointing with the Keyblade, Sean gestured at the top of the Unbirth. "Auto's switch is up there...if we can use it we might be able to shut him down". The two nodded, no time to plan as Eve and Wall-e started for them...immediately followed by the charging Unbirth. They scattered again, till it came to a stop, and implimented the plan again. Randall took Wall-e and Eve took Sean. While she airlifted him, the other three ran over to keep Auto occupied. But Auto seemed prepared. The dormant electrical prod on the right side sprang to life, twisting on a gear. The Unbirth jumped and twisted, pointing the prod directly and Eve and Sean's hovering path. Electricity began surging at the orb between the extensions, and it formed itself into a tight form, shooting out toward them. Eve dodged, losing some alttitude as it fired again. Growling, Sean loosened his grip on one of Eve's arms and called the Keyblade. They dodged the second blast and the prod fired a third. Arcing the Keyblade, he aimed for the center of the electric ball. "THUNDER!". The Keyblade's tip surged with it's own magic as Sean took a swing, and the energies collided. Guided with the Keyblade's force, however, the ball found itself goin the opposite way, slamming into the prod as it charged a forth shot, charring it's interal circuitry, causing it to go off line. With the threat neutralized, Eve carried him over to the shell. She was loosing her grip, but Sean extended the Keyblade as they passed, aimin to push the switch with it's tip. They missed the first pass, but on the second, Eve went closer and the tip graised the switch. Immediately he pushed, and the switch was activated, and Eve airlifted him awawy as the Unbirth reacted. * Though Randall, Vee, and Wall-e had did a fair amount of damage to the legs and lower tentacles, the entire Unbirth started to react to Sean and Eve's aerial attack. All five of them retreated back as Auto's frame shook, and the Unbirth's tentacles flailed around. The Unbirth's legs buckled, and soon the entire mass came down on top of each other, part of the Unbirth almost folding in like some gel or blob, and it all fell into a pile, the parts shaking one last time before silencing any sound or any movement. Eve dropped Sean down and went over to retrieve Wall-e from Randall. Rotating his arm and grabbing his chest with the other, Sean looked on at the fallen mass, Auto somewhere in it. Randall gave him a look over and Vee came over, carrying a much larger version of the curative Potion in a green and blue glass-like container. Each of them took a drink, wounds and any pain being handled by it. All five stared at the fallen Unbirth, hoping it would stay down. "What should we do with it?" Vee asked, to no one in particular. No one seemed to have an immediate response either. "We'll...take care of it as soon as we get back to Earth..." Sean suggested, looking over at Eve and Wall-e. "Alright...you two are up...". Eve nodded, looking at Wall-e who seemed to be exhausted from the fight despite being mostly out of it. Without another word, she lifted up and started for the holo-detector behind the Unbirth. No sooner than she went over it than did something shoot at her from below. The attack was unexpected, but Eve manage to rotate to tak most of the blow. Eve lost alttitude, and fell, smacking into the ground before the holo-detector, Wall-e falling from her arms several feet away. She took a mere moment to recover, and then rushed overe to Wall-e, who had compacted himself, and looked up, cannon raised, as the Unbirth rose itself upward. "It's not down! Definetly not down!" Vee yelled, all three of them battle ready again. Auto was once again at the front, but seemed aware Eve and Wall-e was behind him. "Unbirth Directive must be followed" Auto announced through the Lido Deck. The three were surprised Auto had reactivated himself, but they quickly guessed the Unbirth had something to do with it. It would take too long to subdue it themselves. They had to get to Earth, both for Wall-e and the passengers. "We have to think of something else..." Sean whispered. "I could take half of it apart but...I don't have much in the way of big equipment" Randall muttered. "And the thing can sure take some licks..." Vee added. Sean nodded. They had little time and few options. Despite the Unbirth's aim, Auto still seemed to be there. Maybe if there was someway....Sean's eyes flicked. Of course. There was something. Auto was still there, and he was following what the Unbirth were singled on. But that didn't mean they couldn't get through to Auto himself. Sean nodded to himself and dashed forward, not bothering to listen to Randall and Vee, and halted near Auto, who's attention shifted from Eve and Wall-e to him. "AUTO!" he yelled up, getting the auto-pilot's attention. "Your just following you directive right!?". Auto motioned near him, but didn't reply, despite both knowing the answer. "But think! What's your most important one? What is your prime directive as the auto-pilot?" Auto's single red eye seemed to shade itself differently. "Unbirth Directive is prime" "NO! Before that! Not it's directive...YOURS!...What's YOURS Auto? The main directive..." Sean paused, gesturing with his hands. "...is to protect the passengers right? Is to protect the humans on this ship!" Auto's eyes shaded again. "....Main Directive...secure the survival...of ship passengers..." "RIGHT!" Sean yelled, grinning, though morely glad Auto was showing through. "But this...these Unbirth will take them...like this one took you...if we don't return to Earth...they WON'T survive..." Auto twisted his wheel section slightly. For a long moment, the mechanical sections of the Unbirth seemed to fall silent, but the tentacles were still flailing as if in alarm. After the silence, Auto finally rose slightly. "Passengers...must survive...must follow...prime...directive..." Auto announced, even as he rose. When he was on line with the middle of the Unbirth, his parts flexed open slightly and bits of white followed through his eyes as an alarm from in him sounded. Sean didn't know what Auto was doing, but Randall and Vee seemed to get the gist, as each one grabbed one of his arms and started tugging him away, all three running as Auto's alarm continued. "Must...follow prime directive...safety...of...passengers...is...prime...dire...". In a brilliant white flash, Auto ignited his power cells, both those in himself and the shut-off pole. The advancements in generating power both efficently and greatly were the same with Auto as it was with the entire ship. The explosion followed through the tentacles attached to Auto and from the Unbirth's top. It grew when it encounted more explosive material within it's mechanical components, causing several smaller blasts to emerge. And in a gallery of fire, sparks, and electricity, the explosion focused in on itself and burst, disappating into the air as the safety precaution systems of the Lido Deck absorbed the fire and left over fumes into vents hidden throughout the deck. Auto had taken the Unbirth out with him.... *

Chapter 11 Goodbye * Sean took his head, turning to look back at the rubble and disapparing fumes. He quickly got to his feet, Randall and Vee doing the same, staring at the spot where the huge Unbirth once was. They took in breaths they realized they hadn't taken since ducking from the blast. "Thanks Auto..." Sean whispered. With a quick acknowledgement, the three ran up to the holo-detector. Eve was busy fumbling over Wall-e, who was starting to feel the impact of their recent attack. She saw them coming, as did Wall-e, who quickly opened his storage compartment to reveal the plant, which he gave to Eve, whom quickly tossed it to Sean, who placed in in the detector. "Plant origin verified" called through the halls the female computer voice. "Course set for Earth". High above the Lido Deck, the overhead dome showed the Axiom pointed straight to Earth, then a galaxy view that started to focus on Earth. "Ten seconds to hyper-jump..." "Cool! We're hyper-jumping there!" Vee said, jumping with joy like a sci-fi addict. "Nine..." "Wait a sec..." Randall started. "Eight..." "What Ran?" Sean asked, hoping they hadn't forgotten something. "Seven...six..." "Well if we're hyper-jumping...that means..." "Five...four..." "That we're going kinda like they do in Star Wars...lightspeed!" Vee said with glee. "Three...two..." Then it dawned on all three of them. Moving at the speed of light was undescribably fast and... "One..." "Oh crud..." Sean started, slamming the Keyblade into a knick beside the holo-detector as Randall and Vee ran over to him. "Zero" The engines of the Axiom completed their charge and engaged the hyperdrive. The stars ahead of the starliner began to suck into an origin point directly in the center, space and time warping at command of the jump. The Axiom shot into the origin point. A gallery of stars passed left and right as they traveled through the hole. Sean, Randall, and Vee hung onto the Keyblade as best they could, thankful that it was neigh indestructable. The velocity threatened to push them all the way to the back of the ship. Strange enough Wall-e and Eve weren't as affected. The ship started shaking as the speed increased in the hyper tunnel, ridges and kinks in the ship making themselves aware to all thosee affected. And just as suddenly as it began did the ship smooth itself to slow. "Oooh..." "Jeez..." "Remind me next time sci-fi dork..." The three eased off the Keyblade as the ship entered orbit, and started to descend.... * The Axiom looked similiar but still out of place in the landing strip that the Axiom had left so many decades ago. Thankfully it all seemed operational. The walkways and grips all activated as the ship secured itself in the grooved slit of the strip. The many exit coves opened, and the passengers of the Axiom were greeted with the bright sight of Earth. Sean, Randall, and Vee stood beside the Captain, who was without his hover chair, having fell out of it in his struggle with Unbirth Auto on the bridge. He stood on his own two feet, albiet for what seemed like the first time, holding the plant in one of his hands. The rest of the passengers seemed the same, the unexpected quick use of the hyperdrive probably succumbing them to their feet, which wasn't neccesarily a bad thing. The party had motioned passengers out, making sure no hidden Unbirth were coming out, as Eve shot out of the ship along with Wall-e, heading toward his trunk home. Several of the malfunctioning robots followed them, including one the party hadn't seen, with it's short appearence and cleaning tool. Though they worrried greatly about Wall-e, they trusted Eve to know what to do. Right now they secured the passengers. It wasn't till they were sure the Unbirth weren't nearby than did a small cloud explosion came from the truck. Everyone looked on it with slight awe and worry. Everyone with a connection to Wall-e felt their heart stop. It was a long silence. And with the silence of Earth, it was even more so... Then the white form that came out of the truck toward them, reflecting the sun, was Eve, carrying Wall-e. It looked like he had just been off the assembly line. Well...not shiny, but he definetly looked the robot equivilant of healthy. The party cheered along with the Captain. The malfunctioning robots also gave wobbles of delight, and even the human passengers join in, as if the events in the Lido Deck were seen by them. * "I honestly can't thank you enough..." the Captain started, gesturing with his hands, though keeping the plant in one. Sean, Randall, and Vee stood in front of him, halfly-attentive. "Wish I had medals to give to you EOTS...". Randall resisted the urge to laugh out loud at that one. The Captain gave a relieved sigh, looking over the surrounding area. Several of the humans looking around at the Earth, the kids playing out in the open. He looked at the plant, then back at them. "This time..." he started again, raising a stubby finger. "This time we'll take care of our home...we won't leave it alone again...". He rose up his hand with the plant. "And it'll start with this little guy..." A warble alerted the four, and they turned to see Eve setting Wall-e down, giggling as he looked up at her with his stilled aweness. "Oh yes...you two...machine or not you two made this all possible..." he said. Eve gave her salute, and even Wall-e did his own form, albiet nearly poking his eye, which Eve couldn't help but smile-eye at. "OH! I'm going to plant this guy right now!" the Captain suddenly said, starting his walk over to several other humans and some children. "I can't wait to get started!" The five gave amused smiles at the Captain's ethusiasim. "Wall-e..." Eve said, looking at him and then at the other three, then back at him. "OH!" Wall-e replied, frantically opening his storage compartment and looking for something in particular. When he found it, the object small enough to fit in his hand, the two moved over to them, Sean kneeling down. Wall-e took a moment before opening his hands. Inside was a small silver lighter with the B&L logo in blue. "What's this?" Wall-e blinked. "Oh..." he warbled in unsureness. Eve laughed beside him and gestured toward it. "Gift..." she said. "Oh...thanks..." he said, taking the lighter thoughtfully, looking it over. Wall-e tapped his hands together, motioning up in down in a clear sign of joy. He looked over at Vee, who merely blinked. "A...lighter?" he said, clearly confused. Sean chuckled, getting to his feet. Wall-e looked over at Randall then, who simply shrugged and folded his arms. "Don't get yourself hurt again...". He rolled his eyes. "Cause if you do if I start tinkering your girl's gonna be gunning for ME for answers" he chuckled. Wall-e got the joke surprisingly, Eve decided not to attempt to know. "Well..." Vee started, pulling his left leg back and his arms behind his head. "If you guys have any problems with those Unbirths in the ship...give us a hollar and we'll come..." "Not always on business" Sean chuckled, looking down at them. "We'll visit too...". He kneeled again, placing one hand on Wall-e and one on Eve. "Till then...you two hang on to each other...". He laughed. "And make sure the Captain doesn't trip on his own two feet...". Eve and Wall-e both laughed in their own way at that. Sean leaned back up. "At least until he gets use to them...". Sighing, he looked at Randall and Vee. "Ready guys?" "Oh yes...so many places that need OUR help..." Randall said, flicking his tail. "Oooh..." Vee shivered. "But it just makes you feel all warm inside..." Randall blinked. "Well...to each their own...lets go before big guy over there knows there's no such thing as the Earth Observation Team...". With a final wave, the three turned to the leave the scene, later to activate the Gummi Ship and head off. Wall-e and Eve waved back, giving content sighs. Eve's hand motioned over to Wall-e's and he took it in lightly, coming to an embrace with her. A long time alone on Earth. Not anymore. And even more so, he got the love he'd never experienced, with the on person he wished to share it with.....

Epilouge * The DreamStar entered orbit of Earth for the second time as they left the plant to Eve, Wall-e, and the Captain. "Think they'll do things right this time?" Vee asked behind him at Sean. Sean took in a deep breath before replying. "I think after all the time in space...they forgot how beautiful the Earth could be...I think that after so long...and how new it all seems...they'll appreciate it...and take care of it..." Randall muttered something as he calculated the DreamStar to cause a rift. "Well if they don't...sure those bots will remind them what would happen..." Sean hummed a response, looking down at the lighter he had in his hands. Vee turned, navigation taken care of. "What's so special about that thing?" Sean looked up at him for a moment, then back to the lighter. "Many things I think...but...maybe it's love..." "LOVE?" Randall scuffed, before going back to work. "Well think about it..." he continued, going back to the lighter from looking at him. "The spark of love...fire can be...dangerous but it can also be passionate in it's symbolism...and...". His vision went past the lighter. "It's kind of beautiful really...like Earth was before...fire can...harm...but it can also start man things..." "Isn't that how humans started?" Vee said, finger raised. "With the uhh..."I have made fire" and what not?" Sean looked up from his thoughts, and nodded. "Yeah...and they're kind of starting again today...". He looked back to the lighter. "Maybe it's important because they understood it too...maybe it's how they started to love each other..." "Oooh...when you say it like that I guess I do kind of get it" Vee nodded. "Course plotted..." Randall said, flipping a few switches. "Well...lets see where we're going next..." Vee said, turning his chair and looking over the screens. He started humming a tune, that seemed familiar to the other two. After some small thought, they knew what it was. It was the same song on Wall-e's recorder. Sean smiled, looking down at the lighter, Vee continuing to hum. "Out there...there's a world outside of Yonkers..." Sean whispered. "Way out there beyond this hick town...Barnaby" Randall surprisingly added, a small smile appearing on the side of his face, despite looking away. "There's a slick town...Barnaby" Vee chimmed in, leaning towards Randall. "Out there..." all three said in in unison. "Full of shine and full of sparkle...". They all leaned back. "Close your eyes and see it glisten Barnaby...listen Barnaby...". The whirring of the DreamStar's engines signalling they were locked on their next target, so Vee and Randall paused to key in the commands. Sean looked up from the lighter and got to his feet in a flash and pointed forward toward their new destination. "Put on your Sunday clothes there's lots of world out there!". His words traveled along with all of theirs as the DreamStar warped and disappeared....
