I got SNES to.My fav game for it are F-zero and all donkey kong countries.Got ps2 and computer and for both I like ultra hard games You should try out Silent Hill sometime if you haven't yet. Not incredibly hard, but the puzzles can be tricky. They're anywhere from 4-10 hours long. Depending on what level you're playing on and how good of gamer you are.

They have a very interesting story. Especially the second and third game. Plus, there's multiple endings. Some endings depend on what you do in game play. Others you can only get by playing through a couple times. You also get special items with some endings.
Game one is hard to find, but they're remaking it. 2-4 can be found for PS2. Origins was originally meant for PSP, but they made it for PS2 after some fan protest. 5 can be play on the 360 or the PS3. Although, I would get it for PS3 since the 360 lags and the controls are difficult. I'm pretty sure all the games can be played on PC as well.

I'm hoping to start grabbing other Silent Hill games in the future ^_^ I'm glad I managed to get the first one ^0^ But even so, Silent Hill 2 is still up there in high price, along with the others 0_0

I usually see SH2 for $20 used. Same with Origins and SH4. SH3, on the other hand, I've only seen once for $30. I had my money at home. I came back a couple days later and it was gone. That almost killed me. I always had to rent it and it was the first Silent Hill game I played.

It's a marketing thing...anything with a big name usually has it's price-range very high even after it's inital popularity. For instance, Star Wars Force Unleashed has been out for awhile now but I think it's still in the $50 dollar range. I'm also looking to find Spyro's 3rd game, but the cheapest I've found it is still 30 bucks.

Same thing with The World Ends With You and most Pokemon games. They know they can keep them at that price, so they do. The only problem with Silent Hill games is that some of them are hard to find. Especially the first. I can only find it online for $90+ and I'm not willing to pay that much for it. I just watched someone else play it on YouTube.
Although, Game Stop, the only place to get used games around here now, rarely sells a used game under $20. I think that's pretty lame considering they pay you so little when you bring in a used game.

Oh right yes I nearly forgot. Even the Emerald and Ruby versions are STILL up high in price. Try your local yardsales ^0^ OH! Or antique places. I know this one place that actually lets people rent space in the building and there's a variety of items there, and I found two cases of games there, some I hadn't seen in stores. That's where I found Zone of Enders ^_^ Sequel's there actually, might get that ^_^
WHA? I got a game for like...15/17 bucks...for the DS. Rondo of Swords, at a gamestop.

I'm never lucky enough to find good deals. I think Silent Hill 2 was the only good game deal I've had. I got it for around $12. Otherwise, I constantly get ripped off. I buy a game and it's on sale for $20 less the next day.
Used games are only a couple bucks less than a new copy. And new copies are usually $20+. At least, that's how it is over hear. I'm still trying to find the Phoenix Wright games in their actually case. I refuse to pay that much for a game when it's not even in it's own case. Luckily, I can play the games because my boyfriend has them.
I heard a that GameStop got in quite a bit of trouble lately for selling games that they let their employees play as new.

Thanks a lot! It would be a big help since money is tight. I have $200 worth of bills each month and a vacation to save up for. Saving some on games would really help out.

I just get books from the library most of the time. As for game discussion, what's your favorite game opening? I was in a Silent Hill mode after talking about it here and on another forum and realized how much I love the third game's intro.
