Pixar Planet is a website, with its own forum, dedicated to the Pixar movies, all of 'em, as well as their short films, personel, etc. The forums can be a good place to keep up with the latest Pixar-related news, but like One Pistol said, the sign-up process can be trying to say the least, possibly due to a glitch of some sort. AND, be forewarned: there are a lot of die-hard Randall haters there, and I mean they REALLY hate him with a passion! There are a lot of people who believe, most sincerely, that vigilantism and revenge are perfectly acceptible forms of "justice" and a great way to solve problems...unless of course, THEY happen to be the object of such "justice" themselves, but then, most do not believe that they would ever, ever be capable of doing anything wrong themselves. There are a lot of little self-righteous halos being worn over there. There are those who will get hateful with you for merely mentioning Randall's name, or referring to him in any way, shape or form. That is just how deeply he-AND his fans/supporters-are despised over there. He has some fans there, of course, mainly those of us here, but we are definitely outnumbered by the haters. Some of them can be reasoned with and are able to look at things in varying "lights", but others are as hard-set in their hate as we are in our support. To them, there is no such thing as a redemption, or people changing for the better. The world is just a clear-cut black-and-white place, with people either being totally and unchangeably evil or totally, unchangeably good, no in between, no second chances allowed. pitbulllady

wow.....so PP is an evil place and is like killing yourself for a Randall fan? I'll think things over, and if I think I'll join I will next weekend or so.

I'll just say this as far as Pixar Planet is concerned....if you're a goth, a punk, an outsider, a diehard Randall fangirl or fanatic then this is not the type of place you want to be....that much I can say but if as far as Randall fans go, if you're more casual such as myself then you may stand a chance. Please keep in mind that due to the campaign and the type of image that a "Randall fan" seems to portray to the members there, if they know you're a Randall fan, then it's a red flag because to a good number of the PP members, you're there to cause trouble, cause a riot, and be a basic pain in the a$$ to them...I will admit that I had originally joined PP because at that time, I was planning to leave here since being the only goth/punk at that time wasn't working for me but PP is worse about that, too many of the members assume that if you're part of this subculture that you'll probably end up taking a gun to your head and pull the trigger...also, there are some PP members that while Randall fans, in my opinion, are clearly naive...some of them are the ones that I tend to respond to because maybe waking them up would be nice but that's just me....so basically here's the main point, after all that I've said and explained to you of what I know...is it really worth it to you to join them there? Also keep in mind that getting banned from that site is very easy, one of our members here was banned once until they were able to bargain with the admin but I'm sure that isn't without some form of consequence.

I think one reason that has not been emphasized is that it's basically a popularity contest; for instance, if you're not the most popular person there, which is especially easy for Randall fans, then everyone will ignore you unless you do something REALLY controversial. I even uploaded my music links there, and I'd be legitimately surprised if I got responses after my last post in the thread.

Yep, it didn't take me long to notice with a contest of theirs that Pixar Planet is basically a popularity contest aka online version of high school, you've got cliques and of course every member seems to fall under those cliques....yep, just like high school which if it wasn't very fun for me back then, it sure as hell ain't fun now. Like Sgt said, unless you cause controversy upon the site or is considered Ms. America, you may end up being ignored a good number of the time. I, on the other hand, seems to do rather well at killing a thread because I notice that over half of the time if I post in one...it dies or at least stays dead til some prep jacka$$ all of a sudden questions me and what I'm about...I guess it kind of doesn't help that I take on a slightly different persona on PP but that's just me anyway.

I post a lot on Pixar Planet due to the content of the boards rather than the people. It's the topic of discussions that I'm interested in, and I have also made a few select friends. I know what you guys mean about that sort of high school feel, but I'm happy to ignore that considering all of the useful and interesting information that's on there.

Pixar Planet is a prime source of all things Pixar. It's usually a good place to pick up info, as well as to get into discussions. Whereas Randall Fans are concerned...apparently it may be a requirement to get into many discussions to get enough of a response feed. I've seen several M.I. posters make posts and never get responses. Still, to try proves our fandom's resilience. I usually patrol the board on my rounds to make sure things from certain members, such as one who ended another's topic simply out of spite, are prevented or calmed.
